Summary: 3 Stars
This review is only applicable in terms of using the drive to replace a PS3 drive. I have the 500 GB version.
There are no major hassles or issues, but my PS3's performance on Netflix queue navigation and video playback is, quite surprisingly to me, definitely much slower compared to the original 60 GB hard drive which is, I think, only a 5400 RPM drive. I'm guessing the drive is just fine as a computer drive, but either the size of the drive or the architecture of this particular model (FYI, the original PS3 drive is a Seagate) makes it a poor choice if you plan to use it for Netflix quite a lot.
I haven't had any issues (or for that matter any noticeable improvement) on game load times or gameplay. If that's all you plan to use it for, you may be just fine. But if you are a relatively high volume Netflix Watch Instantly user you definitely want a drive that will give you better performance. Unfortunately, I don't know what to recommend, but will edit this if I find out.
