I've had these for over a 1 1/2 years and still sound great. I'm in Afghanistan and as you can imagine it's very noisy hear...they do a good job of noise cancellation. Ok, so i like to think of myself of as an audiophile. I have owned many great pairs of low cost headphones (Senn HD202, Senn HD212 Pros, Bose Triports, Shure e2c, and countless koss headphones when i was a kid) and i have to say that these are the best, not just for the price, but the best headphones i have EVER owned.
To start this off, i would like to let it be know that i got these off from eBay for $25 shipped. Just make sure you get ones that are still in original packaging because china likes to copy these brilliantly designed headphones.
I thought that the asymmetrical cord was going to get annoying, however i love it. For sound quality these things blow my shures away! These Senns have made me start listening to my music more! I now carry my ipod around everywhere.
I have also got to admit if you are worried about how comfortable in ear headphones are, don't be with these! These are comfortable and do NOT fall out, granted, i have not done any running in these, but i don't think they would fall out. I even fall asleep with these in. Laying on the side of my head! and they still don't bother me.
For $25 this is the best investment i have ever made when it comes to electronics. These things caused me to hear more subtle details than any of my other headphones combined.
GET THESE NOW! I PROMISE YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED! ESPECIALLY IF YOU GET A DEAL LIKE I DID!

Digital camera Review: 300X Sennheiser buds

First off, I love music. No one is paying me to respond to these buds,I believe in the truth.
The first thing you need to decide before buying these is what type of music you like listening to.
If you like heavy metal with deep sounding bass and ok high guitar rifts These baby's are for you.
If you like the highs with tight far away bass your probably looking for Sony Ear buds.
I had Sony ear buds they were clear and great with the highs but the bass just never got there for me.
The other thing was the cord they lasted maybe a month but that's not Sonys fault I beat things up pretty much.
The other pair of buds I got are the Altec Lansing UHP336 upgrader series headphones I bought here at Amazon.com. The directions on Altec Lansing phones is very obscure so I really don't know which ear is left or right but the sound of the Altec Lansing is top notch. I bought them here for like 30 something bucks.
This knowledge in hand, here is the result for $14.00 Sennheiser 300x ear buds on this Amazon site. The 300x are better than the Apple phones,and the best Ear bud phones I ever heard for the price. The comfort and ease of use is extraordinary. The bass on these phones are incredible the treble ok. The short end of the cord goes in the left ear and the right the other. The cord built seems a little old fashion which is good that means it's built much better than the Sony cord. If you want something that will last almost forever with a durable cord and a sound out of this world with a little reading and work buy the Altec Lansing UHP336. You want high crisp sound, ok bass, and a weak cord buy the Sony. NO MATTER which one you choose buy 2 300X's before they change the name and charge you 40$ for them. Sennheiser makes a top of the line product. These are great. One other thing if you have a laptop stop listening to the speakers installed. Plug in some ear buds and welcome yourself to a new world.

[update] I've now had FOUR sets in a row and they have ALL had exactly the same problem. Thankfully there is a 2 year warranty and Sennheiser does replace them, but my warranty is almost up and I'm about to send my current set back again! Seriously, don't waste your time.
[original review] I had these for about 3 months before the sounds went out in the left earphone. At first I liked them - the sound is good, but the earbuds are too big (even the smallest of the 3 sizes included) and so it's hard to get them to stay in my ears and the cords are tacky (as in sort of sticky) so they tangle extremely easily. I've just sent them back to Sennheiser (at my expense) to hopefully have them fixed as they're still under warranty.
