Digital camera reviews of Sennheiser CX300-B In-Ear Stereo HeadphoneDigital camera Review: A perfect mate for your iPOD touch 3G Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this product recently and pretty much in love with it. Its a perfect mate for my iPOD touch 3G. The Audio quality is simply awesome. The low end and high end notes are just perfect. The Bass effect is commendable.
Initially when i tried them, i was pretty much disappointed as i couldn't feel the bass at all. But then i read in one of the reviews that suggested - you won't get it till the silicon ear tips blocks your ear canal completely. This is when i tried the biggest silicon ear tip and that did the magic. With this pair i don't need to push these ear buds deep inside my ear canal and are very comfortable to wear.
This is a true value for money.
Btw these earbuds don't come with a mic.
Digital camera Review: A reasonable product, for the price, but don't get carried away Summary: 3 Stars
I am an audio engineer. I own many sets of headphones for different applications; Shure e500, Bose QC2 (I never use these anymore, bulky and bland sounding), Sony MDR V6, Shure e4c, and a drawer full of Apple, Sony and Panasonic earbuds. My favorites are the Shure e500, which are so fine that I find myself frequently prefering my Nano 2 with Apple Lossless recording to my home stereo (a very high end rig).
That said, at $450, my beloved Shure 'phones are not exactly a good candidate for working out in the gym, or sleeping (I use an iPod to block ambient noise with rain).
I tried the Sony '51s, but they kept croaking, and the sound was abysmal. The '71s sounded better, but also died after a few months. I settled on the Sennheisers, because their low profile makes them comfortable for sleeping, and they provide a reasonable (about 10-15db) noise blocking.
The fit and finish is great, no doubt about that. I wish they had a segmented cable so you could adjust the length. I've read reviews where people complain the cord is too short, but I can only assume they have iPods on their hips, because I use a Nano 2 on an armband, and have to wrap about 2 1/2 feet of cord around the back of the iPod. It works, but... Also, keeping the cord short keeps the cable weight from yanking the buds out of the ear when you are active.
However, to be blunt, anyone who says these "sound great" does not know what good sound is. The Sennheiser CX 300 is shockingly bright. If you haven't deafened yourself playing your iPod too loud, you'll hear they are at least 6DB hot over 6kHz, if not 8-9db. That is like turning the tone control all the way up, to "11."
The only workaround is to have a higher end iPod with tone control, and to use the "reduced treble" setting. This brings the tonal balance down to something reasonable.
Frankly, at a pricepoint of over $50, there is really little excuse for a product to be this acoustically innacurate.
Digital camera Review: A winner Summary: 5 Stars
I bought these after being dissatisfied with the Sennheiser PX 100 Collapsible Headphones. I've had them for four days and used them extensively (at least four hours daily) in that time.
Included are three sets of "ear adapters" (small, medium, large) so you're likely to find a fit suitable for you. Note that the use of earbuds can be dangerous, depending on how well you fit the ear adapters, as virtually all external noise is eliminated. I wouldn't recommend a city pedestrian (or anyone else in a situation with the need to be aware of external sound) to wear these!
These earbuds handle bass far better than the PX 100s. In fact, all around, they sound much better than the PX 100s: they pass the "Nirvana Nevermind" test (bass and drums sound fine) and the classical music test (various Mozart, Beethoven, and Bach pieces sound good).
Also, unlike the PX 100s, I can wear these for hours at a time before I start to feel a very slight soreness in my ear canal. I can also sleep on my side with only a very mild discomfort.
The cord is a bit "rubbery" which transmits vibration (from rubbing against your clothing, say), but this effect is minimized if you wear the right (longer) ear cord behind your neck as is recommended.
The cord is about 3½ feet long (could use about a foot, IMO) and has a 3.5 mm L-shaped plug, which is safer for your MP3 player as much less force is transmitted to the socket should you accidentally "lever" your player with the plug.
There is no carry pouch included, product description notwithstanding.
Overall, the pluses far outweigh the minuses should earbuds satisfy your requirements.
Digital camera Review: A year's life Summary: 3 Stars
I purchased this item in September 2008. Now in October 2009 the sound has dropped from one bud. That's not a very long life.
Besides that I've liked them fine.
Digital camera Review: AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING! Summary: 5 Stars
I was going to originally re-order a different brand of ear buds that I loved, or at least I thought I loved.
I saw these and knowing Sennheiser I knew that had to be pretty decent. And for the price I decided to give them a shot.
These ear-buds are perfect! They have amazing sound, they fit perfect and dont slip out. My other ones would slip out when I wore them to the gym,yet these ones stay in even with a head full of sweat.
IF YOU NEED EAR-BUDS, GET THESE!
