Digital camera reviews of Sennheiser HD-280 PRO HeadphonesDigital camera Review: Amazing Headphones Summary: 5 Stars
I recently bought these headphones cause I needed something to limit the noise from games and stuff (I have a roommate and neighbors downstairs). The sound on them is awesome! I really think everything I have listened to sounds much better.
I kinda wish there was a volume control on them though, other than that, amazing!
Digital camera Review: Amazing Headphones Summary: 5 Stars
I just got these today for Christmas and I'm in love with them. The sound quality is superb. I listen to everything from heavy metal to pop music and so far every song I've listened to sounds spectacular. They do an amazing job at blocking out sound. The only negative thing I could say is that they are VERY big. The headband sticks out pretty wide for me. I would def. recommend these headphones though, especially if you're an audiophile.
Digital camera Review: Amazing Price for Quality & Design Summary: 5 Stars
It does a nice job at noise reduction by virtually canceling out any sound. The padding fits well around the head, although the pair make for something like ear muffs if kept on too long. The design is great because it can be rolled up and stored in three different manners. A great pair to go with. I accidentally sat on the head phones and a connection cracked (hence the 4/5 for durability)...but it comes with a 2 year optional warranty which is neat.
Digital camera Review: Amazing for mixing! Summary: 5 Stars
First off, these headphones are NOT meant to be consumer cans. They are for mixing and monitoring ONLY.
The response is flat across the board, so anything mixed through them needs to be mixed a little dull or else the bass and treble will be boomy and screetchy respectively on a consumer grade system. They are loud, as well. You won't need a headphone amp for these cans in a normal studio environment.
I just bought my second pair, as my old ones wore out. The only complaints I have about these are:
1) The foam/vinyl earcups will rip at the inner seam after lots of use. I had my pair for almost two years before this happened, and the process was slow. I was using these almost every day for several hours at a time.
2) The bass response will begin to degrade around the same time.
Some equipment just needs to be replaced sometimes. Gear doesn't last forever, especially gear that's abused like my pair were.
If you own a home studio, I would recommend buying two pair of these. Keep one for tracking, monitoring, and quick mixes. Use the second pair for mixing and mastering ONLY. That way you'll save the bass response in your mixing pair. If you're like me and you have to mix your own album over a period of over a year, you'll be thankful for only using that pair during mixing, or you'll wind up with an array of different mixes where the bass is concerned.
I am rating this a 5 because these are not what I would consider flaws, merely normal wear and tear on non-serviceable electronic audio equipment.
Digital camera Review: Amazing sound for movies, divx, & music Summary: 5 Stars
I am very, very impressed with these cans. They are fairley comfortable and the sound is very clear, crisp, and full. The "passive" noise cancellation does well in airplanes and when the music is on you cant hear much engine noise or other distractions. I recommend these for the music lover and at the price...you cant beat it
