Digital camera Review: Amazing sound quality but not for DJ's

I am not a pro DJ but I do for fun, so these headphone are great for music production or listening but they are not that useful for DJ's
Pros: Sound quality is just amazing, awesome bass, perfect isolation, I'll say I never seen that good isolation before, great for music production, it cover around your ears and feel very comfortable, it might be not good for hot weather but still very good.
Cons: You can't hang it over your neck, if you do you can't bend your head down, it looks too big and weird on your head. if one of your ear is open while the headphone is on your head, it sometimes slides. Plastic build is strong but looks plastic. Pioneer or Technics looks a lot better and a lot more comfortable for DJ'ing, Cable is not detachable.
So I'll keep this for my music production, because sound quality is amazing, but I ordered a Technics RP-DH1200 for DJ'ing.

These headphones are great. Great sound. Great bass, Man I almost didn't buy these because people said there was not a great bass. Glad I didn't listen to them. The Bass is amazing, and I would know I'm Jamaican, man. These babies also get loud. Holy $h!t, man blow your house away. These are better than most of the brands in $500 range, pretty amazing. Pro quality headphones, for hobo's price range. Buy these headphones, great for Bob Marley, man. And they're German so you know they are made well. Sennheiser HD 280 is the only way to go. I needed a set of headphones because my stock ipod ones simply wouldn't do. Not to mention my roommate talks on the phone a lot and I can't work to his voice, so I needed a good set of headphones that could block external noise, and I didn't want active noise cancellation because the "white noise" bugs me.
Enter the Sennheiser HD 280's. They fit very well, even though I have a small head, and I could easily go bigger another ten notches if I needed to. The cord sometimes seems a bit long, but it's durable and I've gotten used to letting it dangle so it doesn't rub (the vibrations it picks up if it rubs against my clothing were kind of annoying). The base isn't overwhelming, but it goes deep. I have found my ideal listening volume at about 40%. Anything louder and, while it doesn't hurt my ears in the same way earbuds do, after a while my head feels uncomfortable. So they certainly do play loud, but you probably won't need too much volume. And as for noise cancelling, once I turn them on my roommate's voice fades into the background, and people have come into my room without me noticing, which is a good and bad thing.
Sound quality is outstanding, as good as any I've heard, and I couldn't be happier with a set of headphones than these. These are my first, and probably my last for a little while.

Use the money you save from buying these cans to purchase a couple bottles of Excedrin.
As others have said the cups are definitely shallow and there is an incedible high pitched squeal that's just frequent and quiet enough to drive you absolutely insane. After less than an hour with these cans you feel like someone has slowly ground the heel of their boot on your ears like they were a discarded cigarette. Oh, and the squeal-induced headache...feels something akin to having somebody lightly thump your brain with a small anvil.

These headphones make me feel that music is being delivered directly to my soul, bypassing all of the imperfections that are prone to creeping in otherwise. Listening to music with these on is an experience, and a great productivity booster for me. I get things done to the flow of the music instead of getting distracted by other sounds or flaws in the reproduction. If these ever break and cannot be repaired, I would very much want another pair of them.
