Digital camera reviews of Sennheiser HD201 Lightweight Over-Ear Binaural Headphones

Digital camera Review: 5 stars for the price.
Summary: 5 Stars

This is my first pair of headphones and I'm enjoying it quite a bit. I didn't want to pay a lot on my first pair and end up being the kind of person who hated headphones so I went with this pair. Quality wise it's very good, the sound is about 4/5 if you don't want to nitpick. It doesn't weigh very much but after an hour or half or so it will probably get a bit uncomfortable and heavy.

It does not have noise canceling although when you have a movie or music on, you won't hear a thing outside, the only problem is that everyone around you would hear what you are listening to :P

Overall, I really recommend these. They are very good in all areas and are perfect for your home. If you're looking for something to watch movies or listen to music to in your own space, these are the way to go.

Digital camera Review: A Boom-Box for Your Ears
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought these headphones to use when I play my keyboard. They are precisely what I need. First and foremost, they reproduce sound very well. It is clear, without any hissing or static.

They are comfortable to wear. The headband is adjustable and padded. It fits me and my husband comfortably, though we have different head sizes. He is bald and appreciates the padding!

The earpieces cover my ears well and block outside noise sufficiently for me to practise the piano, while the TV is on, in the next room.

Lastly, here's a hint. If you want to leave them out on top of a table or cabinet, a wire banana hanger makes a good-looking, inexpensive stand.

These are great headphones at a modest price.

Digital camera Review: A Real Bargain
Summary: 5 Stars

I'm not a big user of headphones, but I bought these to diagnose the source of some degredation of sound in my home stereo system. These headphones delivered a sound clear enough for me to determine that it was the receiver, and not the CD player or the speakers, that was causing the somewhat shrill sounds in the high end. Seemed worth the $[...] just to do that. I've ordered a new receiver from Amazon as a result.

What I didn't expect was the comfort and high quality sound these things can deliver. Compared to headphones from my youth (40 years ago?), these sound much better and weigh practically nothing. I'm not surprised there has been progress in that many years, but I'm a little surprised how much better the value is (price vs. performance).

Highly recommended for the occasional headphone user. If that's you, you won't be disappointed - [...] bucks well spent. Probably a very good choice for the more frequent user as well.

Digital camera Review: A gift

These were a gift for my boyfriend, to use with his new amp. He seems really pleased!

Digital camera Review: A layman's review
Summary: 5 Stars

Sennheiser brand is undoubtedly among the best ones for headphones. I always wanted to own a pair of Sennheiser headphones, primarily because of word-of-mouth advertising from friends. However the price of high quality models usually start from about $60-70. This model priced at 19.99 was a big temptation to buy. Its a excellent quality entry level model at a very reasonable price. For general usage like listening to songs on laptop or the Microsoft Zune, this headphone provides amazing sound quality. You can feel the vast difference in quality of a Sennheiser and a cheap Koss or Coby or the chinese makes.
I also listened to a sample Bose headphone at CircuitCity, NYC and compared it with Sennheiser HD201. With HD201, one can get high quality sound at a much cheaper price. Am not an audiophile or sound freak, but could feel the clarity and crispness of sounds it produced.
Secondly, the earcups are large enough, so it doesnt stress out your ears after long hours of listening. Its got an adjustable headband giving you the flexibility of adjustment.
On the other side, the only shortcoming is it does not have an in-built microphone.
Overall its among the best reasonably priced quality headphone for general home usage.
