i am not an audiophile, i do however require quality speakers/phones to listen to music. i own a pair of hd650's in addition to these. i have also run route with sony's ex700 buds. these are crisper than the sony's and pronounce group noises better as far as i can tell. bass doesnt impact mids or treble. sennheiser makes quality equipment and i will forever be their advocate and customer as long as they keep it up. they came promptly, they made me hate low density audio files. sennheiser also has a killer support team when they are needed. the only issue i had was with the ear clips they included. i work a laborious position and need a tight fit, one fell off and into a puddle of mud water and urine in a public restroom, i picked it up cleaned it off and i will never use it again.
