Digital camera reviews of Sennheiser MX 75 Twist-To-Fit Stereo Sport Earbuds

Digital camera Review: 1 year review - some good qualities, but some serious annoyances as well.
Summary: 3 Stars

I've had these for over a year now and thought I'd follow up with a review.

Although this products works well, there's a single item that has finally got me so fed up, that I'm looking to purchase a different set.

Ease of use - Really Poor. The gauge of wire is so small that it has actually retained the circular/coiled shape from the original packaging - a full year after opening. This is important b/c it causes the wire/buds to get tangled every single time I use them. Every day when I walk into the gym, I have to conduct some sort of untangling. I've tried multiple times to hang them from weeks on end even with weights and in a hot garage to see if they would straighten out and they haven't.

Sound Quality - Decent. They are certainly lower than most other ear pieces, but more than loud enough for exercising/jogging.
Comfort - Above average. They stay in really well and do not cause your ear to get tired/sore.
Durability - Decent. The rubber fittings fall off easily and I lost all of mine within the first 6 months. However, they've held up well after getting washed with sweat repeatedly over the year.

If they can correct the gauge and make it a little bigger, this would probably resolve the coiling issue.

Digital camera Review: 100% happy

If you're like me and have been looking for an affordable pair of durable head phones then these are for you!
i don't really see why others are complaining abut the buds being uncomfortable or not fitting b/c there are so many adjustment you can make, but for me the way they came right out of the packaging was the best fit. it doesn't seem like these will have the same problem Ive been having with other pairs ( around the jack the connection goes bad b/c of constant plugging and unplugging ) b/c of the higher gauge wire.
as for the sound quality im no expert but they sound great, i mean its not the quality you would get out of a pair of $100+ ear buds but they do the job nicely and they are sufficient for everyday listening or working out.
for me the color was a bonus, i just love the green they come in, but its not for everybody, if you don't like the color there is a similar pair of head phones w/o the sweat resistance, thicker cable and lime green for about $10 less.
the only bad part of the purchase was the case, one of the magnets popped off about 10 min out of the box, but the silicone case is really obtrusive and useless so i doubt i would have used it anyways...

Digital camera Review: 2yr+ Review.
Summary: 4 Stars

I haven't read all of the reviews for this because it would be a little bit insane.

I have had these headphones for about 2+ years now, the truth is that I don't even remember when I bought them, I know it was for one of my bdays, so for sure it has been at least TWO YEARS but it could be more.

First off, let me say that I am not an "abuser" of headphones, but if your definition of abuse is stomp and treat your headphones badly then I hope you find some headphones out there for you (there has to be some...at least they should make them). I also moderately exercise but should say that I wear my headphones EVERYWHERE, I am one of those types of people who NEED music constantly to drown out either STREE NOISE or people-noise, I rode the bus for a year (two connecting buses back and forth from my house to go to college in downtown Denver) and I walked to and from classes that were on opposite ends of campus. With that out of the way let me describe what I HAVE done to these:

- Put them in my pocket (almost all of the time) as well as my messenger bag (I'm female but I am not a girly girl). They DO coil, but I will include a costumer picture on how I kept them from uncoiling too bad (this doesn't let me link to pictures).

- I have ran/walked with them, outside, inside on the treadmill, and in different weather, snow/cold, and summer heat (CO). I say this because they are very sweat resistant compared to all the other headphones/earphones/earbuds I have tried.

- After two years, you would think these things would fail, but the sound is STILL unparallel to any other headphones I have tried, including these : Sennheiser OMX50 Street Line Flexible Stereo Clip-On Earphones; on that note these made my ears have zits/bumps that hurt, but maybe it's just my ears.

To be more precise:

- The protection where the cable ends and the plug-in connector begins does unstick, but that only happened to me 1.5 yrs after I bought them, I simply force it together and it sticks back up (I think either superglue or tacky glue should work on them however).

- I lost one of the small cushions on my right earphone, for the life of me I cannot find the extra ones, and even then the things still WORK, and the sound is good.

- I haven't experienced ANY tears on the wire-covering, none, whatsoever, and maybe it's just how I TAKE CARE of them, but it's not EXTREME in any way, at all (I don't treat them like I treat my mp3 player).

- I have to say that it took me about three days to get used to the way these earphones fit. They did hurt for a bit because my ear wasn't used to having something inside, but after that period it was like I didn't have anything on.
NOTE: IF your ears are weirdly shaped or you just can't get used to the earphones in a week I would say just find another pair, it's not worth it to suffer pain for $20 + shipping, when I bought these they were above $35 so I had a bigger incentive.

What I would recommend for people (other than the picture I will upload) is that they CLEAN THEIR EARPHONES, it's easy to open up the cushion pads around the earphone, just do that and have a q-tip with RUBBING ALCOHOL (Sometimes they label it Isopropyl Alcohol) and just clean all the gunk out of there. It helps and it's sanitary :).

* Another note is that I use these earphones still (I WIll buy another pair soonish), I started using them when I had a CD/MP3 player (yes one of those old big round ones no one uses anymore), then I bought a cheap $25 mp3 player at MicroCenter, that died, and now I have a Mini Sansa player (pictured in the customer pic), that SEEMS to be dying, but the earphones are still going.

I have tried many many earphones, among them cheap $10 earbud ones from sony, from panasonic, as well as over-the-ear ones. I looked many years before I decided to try these ones.

They are not a perfect fit for everyone, like I said if they hurt for too long change to others. However, if you are looking for a good pair that does not move while you exercise/move places and has good quality sound I would highly recommend these.

Digital camera Review: A "sound" buy
Summary: 5 Stars

I had the worst trouble getting any type of earphone to stay in place.....especially when working out. This is the only product I've found that works as it is supposed to yet still providing good sound quality. I'd definitely recommend it.

Digital camera Review: A 6-Month Review
Summary: 3 Stars

I'm writing this review because if you are like me, you want all the information possible before you spend your hard-earned money!

Just as a "heads up" I've had these earphones for 6 months now and I use them with a Creative Zen Vission:M 30g. I'm also an avid gym goer.

My review: The negatives first... These earphones definitely are not the most comfortable things in the world. After about 2 hours my ears are too irritated to continue use. Also the cord has started to tear/shred exposing the wires. The sound quality itself is a little muffled compared to the earphones which came with my MP3 player. The cord also has this auto-coiling effect which is horrible. It makes the cord knot up more than usual. The "different sizes" is a farce. Your choices are extra large or large.

Now the good.... These things don't pull out of your ears that easily. Obviously with any sort of real tug they will, but normal head movement alone nor chewing will do it. Great for the gym compared to anyting else I've tried. The cord is well insolated too. Any rubbing on the cord does not produce a wind-like noise in your ears. I truly enjoy the noise-cancelling. I notice a real difference in how high I have to turn up the volume (this may aslo account for the slightly muffled noise.)

Let's sum this thing up... The cord is frayed so I'm going to by new earphones and I find myself shopping around again for something different. Hope this helps!
