Digital camera reviews of Sennheiser PC 350 Collapsible Gaming Headset with Vol Control & Microphone MuteDigital camera Review: Good Quality - Comfortable Summary: 4 Stars
This is my second pair of Sennheiser head phones. I bought these because I liked the first pair. The first pair were not 100 % covering the ears. This pair does. I like the way it kills external sound. It has been a long time since I've used this kind of head set so it was a little strange at first. But I do like these better now that I've had them for a few weeks. We bought them to use with Skype mainly. But I also like listening to Itunes or other music venues. I find myself working on the computer often with the head set on despite not using them for anything but quiet. I also like how the head set collapses when sitting on the desk. Not a big thing but it does make it easy to slide them on. The ear pieces turn 90 degrees while laying on the desk so the whole headset becomes pretty flat compared to my old ones which were fixed. I also like that the cable is much heavier than the first pair I owned. I would recommend this product to anyone for use with gaming, enjoying music or telecommunications.
Digital camera Review: Good competitive headset; mediocre headphone Summary: 3 Stars
This headset focuses on voice clarity and speech recognition. The resulting sound has a harsh, empty, cold signature lacking bass. Excellent mic. Very comfortable. You'll have no problem wearing these for extended sessions. Convenient line volume limiter.
If it's available to you, I'd recommend the Beyerdynamic MMX300. While it doesn't come with a line volume limiter built in, and the mic has a tiny bit more line noise the headphone aspect is above and beyond what the PC350 can produce. The MMX300 is also very comfortable.
I own both and use the MMX300 for regular and home use while keeping the PC350 around for competitive use like LAN parties and tournaments.
Testbed auditions performed using an ASUS Xonar D2X and the Beyerdynamic USB soundcard.
Digital camera Review: Good headset. Summary: 4 Stars
Got it for sixty-five bucks used.
Good headset, doesn't seal perfectly around my ears. Excellent mic over what I've been using. Excellent for gaming.
Audio quality is less than perfect, although, that's the worst I can say.
Most comfortable headset I've worn. No complaints there.
Great quality and feel.

Digital camera Review: Good value, but... Summary: 4 Stars
these bad boys are HEAVY.
Sound is great and cannot be beat by anything in the price range; the microphone is as nearly clear as a bell as could be reasonably expected; and the material construction is rock solid. Maybe TOO solid, on two counts: 1) unlike other headsets of this type, the microphone is attached by an inflexible arm made of heavy-grade plastic [it's unlikely to break by anything less than being flung with significant velocity at a wall or stepped on by someone in steel-toed boots] that can be swiveled up out of the way, but can't be adjusted in terms of distance from one's mouth; and, 2) the cans are large--completely covering the ears--and are very heavy. Depending on the user's head shape, they may put excessive pressure on the temples. To me, putting the headset on for the first time felt a bit like attaching a giant clamp to my skull. I've gotten more used to them, but still find that I am more reluctant to put them on and quicker to take them off than was the case with my previous, lower quality but lighter set.
I'd recommend these to anyone for sound quality (in and out), but with the proviso that anyone who has a fairly small head or is prone to neck strain may want to check them out first to find out how they feel.
