Digital camera reviews of Sennheiser PC 350 Collapsible Gaming Headset with Vol Control & Microphone MuteDigital camera Review: Best headset I've owned to date! Summary: 5 Stars
This is the best headset I've ever owned! Superb quality. I got this for $124 when the price went down on Amazon. I've had it for a few months now. It is comfortable enough to wear hours on end. I tend to wear a beanie a lot, so I wear the headset over it and it is still comfortable enough to wear for hours, though it starts to strain on the ears after the 3+ hour mark when wearing it over my hat. Without the hat, just over the ears, I've experienced 12+ hours of comfort because it just caresses the ears so well. On hot days it can get a little sweaty in the ears, but if you have proper cooling in your house, that shouldn't be an issue.
The sound is amazing and you can rock out all day long listening to music or have fun chatting with friends or playing a game. While using Skype and Ventrilo I've been told I sound great with the mic and everything sounds crisp and clear on my end.
There are a few adapters available on amazon for a normal cellphone or an iPhone which provide a lot more uses for this headset. I use my bluetooth while driving, but if you're like me and want to do things while you talk on the phone, these adapters are great for walking around the house and talking or listening to music. Cellphone speakers aren't always the best quality, so this additional function for the headset is amazing.
The headset is collapsible, so it's easy to pack away. The volume and mute control are simple and easy to use. This headset can really pump the volume if you turn everything up all the way. It also has a decent amount of noise canceling with the earmuffs, so if you're up late at night with someone else in the house, be careful you don't start singing along with a song and wake up others. You'll be much louder than you think! lol.
I've tried to save money on headsets in the past and the cheaper ones have always bit the dust after a few months to a year of use and I'd have to buy a new one. So my recommendation to you, if you're on the fence is to buy these! This is truly a quality item and will be well worth it in the long run. Sennheiser is a quality name and these don't disappoint.
PROS: Absolutely Everything!
CONS: This is sort of a double edged sword, but the cord is very long so its great in my opinion, but depending on how you use it, the cord can get twisted up once in a while and you might have to unwind it. But if you take care, this shouldn't be a problem.
Overall Rating: 4.99 out of 5 (-.01 cause you've got to leave space to improve)
Digital camera Review: Best headset ever Summary: 5 Stars
I received this headset a few days ago. I have to say this is by far the best fitting and best sounding headset I have ever had.
The microphone is noise canceling which is a real benefit as I often have background and traffic noise to contend with.
The sound quality of the speakers is by far the best I have heard. The volume level is more than adequate. The bass is very apparent without sounding muddy or overpowering.
The microphone is very directional. I move the microphone just a couple inches away from my mouth and the person I am talking to cannot hear me. A real benefit if I am on the phone.
Overall I give this headset an east 5 out of 5 stars across the board.
Digital camera Review: Best pair of headphones I have ever owned Summary: 4 Stars
Got this set in today and I must say for a $250 dollar headset it comes with very little extras(no 1/4 adapter etcc..)All you get is the headset.
Pros:
-The sound is amazing. This is the first headset that after playing with the EQ settings you can actually get these bad boys to vibrate pretty hard from the bass with no distortion. In fact I can turn everything all the way up and get no distortion.
-The mic is great no reverb and the inline mute works well
-Closed design really does eliminate outside noise for the most part.I would say about 80 percent or so.
-Build quality is amazing
-very comfortable
-And I must say this headset is pretty
Cons:
-The inline volume is almost useless. If you turn it all the way down it doesnt go mute or even close to it I would say all the way down on the little wheel thing is 50 percent volume and of course all the way up on the wheel is 100 percent.I am not sure if mine is defective or maybee thats the way high end phones are.I use the PC volume anyway so it doesnt bother me too much.
Overall I love them and if it werent for the volume wheel I would have gave it 5 stars.
Digital camera Review: Best. Headset. Ever. Summary: 5 Stars
I've been playing online PC games for nearly 10 years, and using voice chat in conjunction almost as long. Over the years I've used (and broken) many headsets. Logitech, Plantronics, Altec Lansing, etc. I've tried them all, and this is easily the best I've ever tried.
PROS:
1. Comfort. You can wear these for hours and not have any aches or discomfort. The ear pads actually fit 100% around your ears, not ON them, so they aren't pressed. The top headband has nice soft padding.
2. Sound. I'm not an audio expert, but this is the best sounding headset I've used. There seems to be a great volume range. When chatting with people I often have the game sound turned WAY down, to about 10%. Even that low these headphones provide clear audio. And since the ear pads fit around your ears they block out much of the room's ambient noise.
CONS:
1. Size. These are fairly large and not good for travel. They do actually fold, so you CAN take them on the road, but they're really meant for home use.
Yes, these are a bit expensive. The most expensive headset I've bought, but generally you get what you pay for, and these are well worth the price.
Digital camera Review: Best. Headset. Ever. Summary: 5 Stars
Yes, they're pricey. If you're looking for "economy" headphones - look elsewhere. But if you have a need to wear head phones for long periods of time, don't skimp.
I use this headset for a soft phone - and also for gaming (sound + microphone). I can comfortably wear these things for hours.
I run these through a Media Hub splitter right to my on board sound card without any issues.
