Digital camera Review: A Great Bargain!
Summary: 5 Stars

The PX 100 headphones have great sound almost unreal for the money. This is the 4th set I have purchased and recommend them 100%.
One thing to take into consideration is that these headphones are not extremely durable. I wouldn't recommend these for kids or any "rough" use. Frankly they are not meant for that hence the reason I do not deduct for durability. Also if roughed up the foam speaker covers can come off fairly easily. You & I will simply put them back on; kids may not and loose them. By the time you find replacement foam covers it could be less aggravating to purchase new headphones.
Sennheiser does provide a well designed case to protect the headphones while not in use. Also, note that other users report a faulty wire connection. I have run into something similar on one only one of my headphine sets and that was the set my daughter was using. I chalked that up to abuse since none of the sets I have used had this issue. Still, considering the amount of people that have reported this issue, I would keep it in mind.
Bottom line:
People who will take care of the headphones and want a budget set with excellent quality = YES
Rough use (ie: kids on school bus) = NO

Digital camera Review: A Great Choice
Summary: 5 Stars

These are quite simply excellent headphones. I purchased them a couple of years back after a week of online research. I don't listen to music much... well, Matisyahu... but mostly I watch movies late at night on my laptop, and these headphones have proven themselves well worth the money. The cord is longer than on standard cheap cans... perhaps not as long as I would like sometimes, but life could be worse.

The sound quality is excellent, with a noticeable difference between them and standard iPod buds. Several of my friends with iPods upgraded to these cans after listening to them vs their normal iPod buds.

These are terrible for activity, in my opinion... you don't wanna be doing heavy yard work or running around as they don't fit that securely around your head, but are comfortable for studying or lying in bed.

After two years of heavy use, they are working as good as always. I'm going to upgrade to the Grado SR80s, which are a bit more serious, but also twice as expensive.

The ONLY thing that I don't like about these cans is the folding case. Forget about it. You're not going to be folding these up each time you're done and wrapping that cord around... it's just a hassle. I dropped that REAL quick; it's very awkward.

Other than that, you cannot go wrong getting them. Just do it - $50 later you'll be enjoying beautiful, high clarity music like never before. And get Matisyahu's second album "Youth" to go with em ;) The best song is Jerusalem.

Digital camera Review: A Mistake
Summary: 1 Stars

I own a half dozen pair of Sennheiser headphones dating back to the 1980s and all are excellent. These are the large size, both open air and sound deadening. I was looking for a pair small enough to fit in my commuter bag and use with iPod and computer. When I got the PX 100 I found I could not wear them comfortably, the audio was really bad, and they did not keep out the noise of the bus. I gave them away. I then ordered the Sennheiser in ear model and they have been perfect!!

Forget the PX 100.

Digital camera Review: A Perfect Sound to the Ears
Summary: 5 Stars

The headphones are a suprisingly full sound that completes and fufills the songs that I hear. It's lightweight and folds very well into a small case. I'm very satisfied and happy with my purchase.

Digital camera Review: A Shade better than PortaPro
Summary: 5 Stars

If you have been researching these headphones then you probably have also seen comparable rave reviews for the Koss PortaPro phones. I couldn't decide based on the reviews so I purchased both for a head-to-head compare! The bottom line is that if you really, really love heavy bass - get the PortaPro's if you like a more natural, balanced sound then get these. They are both very good but I think that the Sennheiser PX 100's have a brighter sound while still having a rich bass capability (definitely much more bass than the cheap $10 phones I had before). The PX 100's are also more comfortable due to the cushion on the inside of the band, and less pressure on the ears. I have been using them with my Creative Zen Micro and they sound fantastic! PS: The PortaPros are on their way back!
