Digital camera reviews of Sennheiser PX 100 Lightweight Collapsible HeadphonesDigital camera Review: A good headphone with a decline in durability Summary: 4 Stars
Recently these have been showing up on lightning deals all the time. I picked up one of those lightning deals because I love the pair I already have, but there have been some moderate changes to the audio plug and some other small technical issues. This has affected durability for one, and in my rough and tumble house the month old pair is already falling apart around the audio plug, while the year old pair is doing fine. From an audio perspective however, these are great/good headphones. Look up open headphones before purchasing - their good audio quality is due to being designed in a way where you will hear other sounds around you and your neighbors will hear your music.
Digital camera Review: A great deal more Summary: 5 Stars
The response of these small and lightweight headphones is unbelievable. I am going to get another pair for a friend of mine who's birthday is around the corner. These are a lot more comfortable than having ear buds. Hearing is believing.
Digital camera Review: A great pair of headphones Summary: 5 Stars
I was looking for a pair of portable headphones that were DECENT sounding, folded up and were durable at a decent price and these filled the bill for carrying with me to use with my MP3 player, at work for the PC etc. I think I got them on sale here on Amazon several months back.
Takes a little getting used to how they fold up and fit in the case but once I figured that out, it's a pretty slick design.
They are quite comfortable for wearing for longer periods and are definitely an improvement over the cheap Novus headphones from Radio Shack I bought earlier this decade in sound and while comfortable, the pads are now detiorating but they've served themselves well for the most part
Anyway, the Senheisers aren't the brightest headphones, which is in fact a good thing but they DO have good upper frequency response and fairly decent mid to lower frequency response which when monitoring while recording, they do a great job as I can detect most details when at home using the larger stereo, but are adequate for most situations I would think. They are not sound proof but since I generally am not super noise environs w/ headphones on, not really an issue for me.
Overall, a great set of cans for overal portable use.
Digital camera Review: A hiden treasure - worth it! Buy it, no regrets Summary: 5 Stars
The first thing you'll notice is the rich bass sound instead of those cheapo headphones that come in a mp3 player.
I was reluctant to buy this "collapsible or foldable headphones" but nothing is perfect in life, treat your headphones with care and have long life for your investment.
Has a braille like three dots at left side (awesome!) so you can "see" the correct position.
Pro's:
*Rich sound, good bass response
*Convenient carrying case
*Good brand, average price.
Cons's:
*Small plugin, should be more strong and better grip.
*1.4m cable lenght, I would like a bit large cord (1.8m maybe).
*The cord seems to be thinner in comparison with other brands.
Final Thoughts....
Buy it! you will rediscover your music again!.
Digital camera Review: A must buy for portable listening devices Summary: 5 Stars
It's amazing the difference these made in audio quality when I initially bought them about a year ago. It could be argued that there are better sounding headphones at or close to this price point, but I can honestly say that these are some of the most affordable, durable and all around convenient headphones available that still allow an astounding level of audio quality.
When I say convenient, I'm really talking about their size, compactibility, and comfort. They're about the smallest over-the-head headphones on the market, and their ability to fold into a tiny little package make them all the more totable when on the go. I would have liked the chord to be a little bit longer, but not much. The length is acceptable considering they are designed for portable use, but at times I would have liked it to be a little longer.
At the same time, however, they are open, so they naturally leak a lot of sound and block next to nothing. This is at once a pro and a con. Sometimes it's important to be able to hear noise outside the headphones, such as when driving. But it is a bit annoying to have to keep the volume down in places like the library due to so much sound leakage.
The sound quality is excellent. The highs are crisp and clear, the mids are substantially mellow and the bass, while a bit on the 'boomy' side at times, is responsive and punchy most of the time. Obviously you'll be able to get better quality from more expensive, full-sized headphones, but compared to the earbud phones that come stock with most portable devices, these will be an absolute godsend. Highly recommended.
