This will be short. I have used this on planes, trains, cars, walking in the city, and at home. It has served its purpose in all environments. The noise cancellation worked very well up until about a year ago, now there's a slight buzz when I turn it on. That said, it still works and even with the noise cancellation off it is still one of my favorite headphones. Mine came with a zippered travel pouch, worked very well when the headphones were folded up. Where the cord meets the 3.5mm jack it's a bit weak; when it started wearing out I just put some duct tape on to prevent the wire from cutting. I forgive it though, I have used this all over the world and pushed it to it's limits. enjoy! This has definitely held up, I would buy it all over again!!

When engaged, NoiseGard active noise reduction drops steady-state low-frequency noise (from about 500 Hz and below) by 15 dB--which the human ear perceives as more than halving the noise--thus enhancing the clarity of your music. The noise reduction circuit requires 2 AAA batteries (not included), but the headphones work fine without the circuit engaged.
Sennheiser's fold and flip design lets you turn the ear pieces 90 degrees and fold the headphones closed. Their ported design lets them move more air for greater bass response.
