I am guilty of liking to watch TV in bed while my husband sleeps. I have used headphones previously so as not to disturb him, but the Sennheiser RR 140 is about a million times clearer and more comfortable. I also intend to use them to listen to music while working outside in the garden. To charge, all you have to do is hang them on their stand. They are a lot nicer than I had expected them to be. Got the headphones over the holidays. The sound is great and the rechargeable batteries and the base are neat, the headphones fit very well with adjustable length and angle for the "earmuffs". However, there is some hissing noise when there is no signal (when switching channels). I love my wireless headphones. I am hard of hearing and use them all the time. This is my second Sennheiser wireless headphones purchased. I owned the RS-120 for several years prior to this model. It has excellent range and audio quality. With on the hook charger, It is easy for the headphones to be charged up and always available. I purchased the Sennheiser RS-140 wireless headphones several months ago to get rid of the rat tangle with wired headphones. I have a hearing loss in both ears and typically watch television and listen to music with headphones to avoid annoying the neighbors, so wireless headphones are a much better option since I have more freedom to move about.
I have been extremely pleased with the comfort and sound of the Sennheiser RS-140 headphones. I do not hear any hiss or pop while moving around inside, although I do hear some hiss and dropouts if I am outside several feet away from the transmitter. I have literally worn these headphones all day without recharging them and they remain quite comfortable.
These headphones do have a few caveats, however. I have a neighbor with a wireless device that sometimes interferes with the headphones, although changing channels solves the problem. The balance and volume controls are on the back of the right can so laying on a couch, sitting in high-backed chair, or propping your head against a pillow may inadvertently change either or both controls. Even so, I find having the volume control easily accessible is very convenient.

I purchased the RS 140 primarily for wireless operation and improved hearing..... The headphones are excellent quality and function very well. I use the voice enhance mode (compression) which still retains good background music quality in movies....... A suggestion not mentioned in any description, I plugged the unit into audio output ports of my stereo receiver. I used the "Tape Record" audio, but any audio out in the "high output" category works fine..... In this manner, the headphone control is used independently of the stereo receiver volume control. My setup feeds all audio equipment either through the TV and/or stereo receiver..... I was surprised to note the room to room reception as excellent thoughout our 3 bedroom home.... Highly recommended....
