Digital camera Review: Absolutely perfect for TV

I bought these headphones for a Christmas present to myself. I couldn't be happier. I'm not an audiophile, but these headphones sound much better than the speakers currently hooked up to our TV. Now I can watch TV in the bedroom without disturbing my husband. They are comfortable to wear and easy to adjust. When I first started using this headphone and experienced the static(inevitable with wireless headphones when it is a considerable distance away from the transmitter)in my favourite spot at my patio outside, I began to doubt my judgement for buying a rather expensive set, and the prompting of another reviewer urging us to go for a cheaper set began to haunt me, as I was rather dissappointed. But then I changed the channel from 1 to 2, and then to 3. Bingo!! The static vanished!! That is when I began to feel happy for paying a stiffer price, in order to own a quality product. Now I can also enjoy my music sitting outside in the porch, instead of being cooped-up in the house all the time.
In front of the tv the sound is almost as good as the wired Sennheiser 280 which I also own. I do not mind sacrificing a little, for the slight difference in the quality of sound, as I am considerably compensated in terms of the freedon of movement that only a wireless headphone can provide! Now, mostly during the news hour, I move around to the adjoining kitchen and bathroom, upstairs to my bedroom, loosing very few words, (due to the inevitable static at some spots) from the mouth of the narrator( I suffer from moderate hearing loss, and have to use a headphone in order to catch all that is being narrated). Besides, by moving around, and taking my eyes off of the t.v., I can give my tired old eyes some rest!!(i.e.instead of being glued to the screen all the time).
There is some exaggeration as to the reception of upto the distance of 150 feet. 100 feet is the maximum figure.
May I also add, this CLOSED-EARCUP headphone, keeps out most of the spoken and fidgeted noises made by others in the same room, and beyond.
And cutting out the high-pitched voice of a nagging, cantankerous spouse is an added advantage!! Yippee!! Big problem solved!!
I am extremely pleased with these sets, and as always SENNHEISER NEVER LETS YOU DOWN!! I am also very happy with Sennheiser PX100 which are great value for the price.

Pros: Has incredible sound! Does not disturb persons trying to sleep next to you. Well padded for my big head. Charging stand, though I hardly use the charging stand, I change out the AAA batteries with some already charged, so I don't have to wait when I accidently leave them off the cradle. I'm not sure I would change one thing, they are near perfect!
Side note:(possibly a pro)I fell asleep in them, snapped the bridge across the top, Sennheiser replaced my 2+ year old set with a new set for $60.00!

The sound is really good on these, no high-pitched buzz like on my previous Sennheiser which only lasted 18 months. These are also very comfortable to wear. Strangely, the reception is better in certain locations of the house than others; distance doesn't appear the factor but doors are. OK - So let me start by saying that I read EVERY review on all wireless headphones and all of the reviews on the RS-120, RS-130, and RS-140 before buying.
A few things I would say after living with these.....First, I don't understand how anyone can say that these don't sound amazing. They simply do - and I listen to music - and soft passages critically. One hint : turn off the compression when you are listening to music. The switch is on the charger on the bottom right. Try it - you will be amazed at the musical clarity improvement. Also - as other reviewers have pointed out - make sure that the signal source is loud enough - to reduce any hiss that you might hear. It works - it really does.
Range ? I have tried these two floors up from a cellar full of metal furnace piping - with excellent results. I don't understand how someone can say they need to be within 50 feet of the source. They simply must have a defective set - as these carry from two stories up.
I own two other pairs of Sennheiser phones including the HD-280 PRO that are critically acclaimed. Honestly - these are MORE comfortable than those - and have a sound that is comprable.
I can't speak for the RS-120 or RS-130 but I would say this - buy a REFURBISHED pair. They run around $115 on AMAZON and still come with a FULL TWO YEAR WARRANTY. That's what I did - and you cannot tell the difference from new - as they look BRAND NEW - and sound AMAZING.
Again - my advice is to buy these - turn off the compression feature - and if for some reason you have any reception problems - there are three different channels.
Again - I searched a long time - these really ARE THAT GOOD.......
