Digital camera reviews of Set 3 Ninja Stealth Black Throwing Knives with Nylon Case

Digital camera Review: A GOOD, INEXPENSIVE TEACHING TOOL THAT IS A LOT OF FUN.
Summary: 4 Stars

I am giving these things four stars simply because for the cost (which is not all that much), you pretty well get what you pay for. I have two sets of these knives and the serve my purposes well.

I have been "into" throwing knives since I was a small lad and since I still have a lot of kid in me, I still enjoy the hobby. I have a large, rather soft post in my backyard near the barn that I practice with.

These knives are small. They are also black. This creates problems. Unless you are working in a completely bare area it is quite easy to loose the things. I took care of that with a can of bright yellow spray paint on the handles.

These little knives are absolutely ideal for the beginner as they ARE NOT SHARP when you receive them. Folks to start with razor sharp knives end up with nasty little cuts no matter how they hold the knife or what technique they try to use at first. Better to be safe while learning before you graduated to the "real thing." The points of these knives do tend to break with hurled into a harder surface so I would suggest you use them on something relatively soft.

Due to the lack of sharpness and the low cost of these knives, they are ideal for teaching the grandsons and granddaughters this art. It is a wonderful tool for teaching eye/hand coordination and so much for fun and healthy then having them set in front of a computer game. The primary objective of teaching the beginner is technique and accuracy. These fit that objective perfectly.

All in all for the price, these a pretty nifty little knives...as long as you don't expect too much.

Digital camera Review: Basically I got what in thought I would and what I paid for
Summary: 4 Stars

Nothing amazing. I have seen reviews of this for 3 stars or less. THESE KNIVES ARE UNDER $10 what do these buyers expect, CKRT quality?! Beginner knives to get you started and or allow to test the waters of your interest. Well balanced knives, I have not bent a tip yet. Paint chips but who cares. Sufficient package, sheath is useful enough. Tested on wood and cardboard. Dropped a star off due to the blade nicking, but in reality I will never attempt to slice anything with these.

Digital camera Review: Better Than Expected
Summary: 5 Stars

My knives arrived very quickly, no packaging which i didn't particularly care about anyway. When I inspected the knives for quality I was shocked at how well they were made for such a cheap price! Great Quality, Well Balanced, Strong Durability and awesome spin. If you like throwing knives and want something decent then i would highly recommend giving these a shot, and hey, for the price, what do you have to lose?

Digital camera Review: Cheap price for cheap steel..
Summary: 3 Stars

Product is set of 3 - 6 in. throwing knives.

Basically after a few throws the wrapped nylon cord around the handle began to unravel and fall off.

Also after a day of throwing, I noticed the knife tips were already bent out of shape.

I would recommend these knives only for experienced throwers with accuracy or for novelty purposes only.

Digital camera Review: Decent for practice
Summary: 3 Stars

These throwing knives are worth the price, but know at that price, you're not going to get a professional level tool; you'll be getting essentially a display. While they look very good, aesthetically, these are not the sort of thing that would be much use in an actual combat or real-life scenario. With that said, these are very good for practice and learning how to throw.
One thing to be aware of, when practicing your throws with these knives, is that if the knife impacts the backstop (I used a sheet of plywood) at the wrong angle, it will bend the tip of the knife by about 15 degrees. This is not unexpected with the type of steel used. Another point is that these knives aren't sold sharp. They're simply machined to look sharp.
I only have one criticism of the sheath, which was as pictured. It would have been nice to have a loop on both ends, such that one could immobilize it for one-handed drawing.
All in all, these are good knives for the price range.
