I had a sharp calculator for a while and I love it so much. I was going to buy a mid scientific calculator with capability of inputting formula. But as very very surprising although there is alphabet key on the calculator but the alphabet list restricted to ,a,b,c,d,e,f,m,n,x,y. not more. So if you plan to do something with alphabet as formula, it won't help you. But a scientific calculator for normal use it is ok and easy to use.Digital camera Review: An Awsome Calculator

I've always used Sharp calculators since elementary school. This calculator is by far one of the best if not the best. But you do need to read the manual before you understand how to use some functions. Once you understand them you would be blown away with how powerful this calculator can be at any level in school. From elementary to college. The only thing it doesn't do is graphing, but who cares. You can't go wrong with this calc and the price is fantastic. Before buying this I had the Sharp EL-506V model which cost me the same as this one, but it had close to 200 functions less than the EL-W516B. As I said ,this would be the best calculator I have purchased.Digital camera Review: Beautiful and great calculator

I think I made the best decision buying this calculator. The "WriteView" is a great property. I haven't felt this much of comfort writing formulae into a calculator before.
Definitely recommended.

I have both the Casio FX-115ES Advanced Scientific Calculator with 2-Line Natural Textbook Display and Sharp EL-W516B Scientific Calculator with WriteView (Black) calculators. Both are excellent calculators for the price. However, both have an annoying shortcoming in my opinion. Neither calculator allows one to, directly, take powers of i greater than 3. For example, if one inputs i^13 an error message is displayed. I know that powers of i are a trivial procedure and can be done in one's head. So is addition, but all calculators offer it. In my opinion, it does seem odd to offer complex functionality and leave this out. No HP calculator that offers complex input leaves out this functionality. Maybe, in future releases, Casio and Sharp can address this shortcoming.
