Digital camera Review: Complex Arithmetic Only - Complex Functions Do Not Work
Summary: 3 Stars

Purchased to compute complex arithmetic, often involving complex function values. The calculator allows only very basic use of complex numbers: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, plus square, reciprocal and absolute value. Attempts to evaluate any other function of a complex number, such as exp(z), sqrt(z), ln(z), and all trig or hyperbolic functions, yields Error 02. The calculator does not allow use of complex numbers for coefficients of matrices nor polynomials. These restrictions are not stated anywhere that I can find (including other reviews). For many users such limitations will not matter but for those who need to perform calculations in electrical engineering involving circuits, transmission lines, waveguides and EM fields the lack of complex functions will be a show-stopper.

Digital camera Review: Display is Not Bright Enough
Summary: 1 Stars

The display on this calculator is not bright enough. Unless I use it in a well lit room with overhead fluorescent lighting the display is too difficult to read. My 20 year old Casio fx-115 has the kind of display brightness that I am used to and consider acceptable. I am very dissatisfied with this calculator.

Digital camera Review: Don't buy this calculator
Summary: 1 Stars

Don't buy this calculator. It is probably the hardest calculator to use ever. I have used several different brands throughout the years, and this is by far the worst! I thought the point of calculators were to make like a little more easier.... i guess thats not the case with this one. You pretty much have to carry around the user manual whenever you are planning on using it... :|

Digital camera Review: Economical, hard to learn
Summary: 3 Stars

The price is right for the abilities it has.

The documentation is very limited- a couple folded up sheets of paper with some general tips and some examples. It's enough to get you started (maybe). If you don't know much about the math you're trying to do on the calculator it might be tough to glean how to do it from the documentation. But if you can figure it out, it has a lot of useful features.

Data and formula entry is different than HP and TI style. Takes awhile to get used to but it works.

Construction. No problems so far. Buttons are non-click style. A lot of main scientific functions (for example square root and inverse) require two button pushes. The multi-line display is nice.

Digital camera Review: Electeng Calculator
Summary: 4 Stars

Good calculator, will do everything you want and more.
Only wish it didn't have the name label on startup, it makes it borderline acceptable due to full alpha numeric
