It keeps time - wow - what a surprise - Its a CLOCK - duh. The beeping it makes EVERY time I push one of its buttons is incredibly annoying (especially if I miss the minutes by one and have to go 59 beeps to get it right). Is there no way to turn these unnecessary beeps off? This makes it impossible for me or my spouse to set the alarm AFTER anyone has gone to sleep - unless we don't care and just wake them up with the incessant beeping. AAAAARRRRRGGGGHHH. Display light is not a backlight, but a light bulb
Small buttons (snooze is relatively small, rest are quite small)
Overall, considering the price, it's a descent alarm clock. I'm a bit dissapointed that the light is not an indigo backlight such as what Sharp has put in other alarm clocks in the past, but the light is sufficient. If aesthetics is important to you, this is a very nice looking alarm clock, but at the cost of ease of use, all the buttons are crammed on the back of it, and are not only more difficult to access as a result, but also small, and not very intuitive to use. For $13 on Amazon, it's more than worth the price, but overall, it's only ok.

I purchased a second Sharp Atomic clock to replace one out of warranty. The cost to have it repaired and shipping for getting it there was more than the cost of a new one. I love the clock. It keeps perfect time and the button on top for illuminating the time is very handy and does not bother any other sleeper. The alarm, when I have used it, is of sufficient loudness for me to hear without my hearing aids, but not so strident to startle or awaken others.Digital camera Review: See Instructions in images above

SAVE THE INSTRUCTIONS, next to impossible to set without them! Unless you have a photographic memory. Otherwise a good product even thought it is made in China. Lost a previous exact model while moving. I really like the feature of not having to set due to daylight savings time change.
