Digital camera reviews of Shure E2c Sound Isolating EarphonesDigital camera Review: AWESOME Summary: 5 Stars
These headphones are worth every penny (if you have it). I have an ipod and i have read many reviews that say that the e2cs are an ipod essential. When i first read it i considered them, but than i got to the bottom and saw that they were $100! I closed the magazine and wondered who in the world would pay that much for headphones. Than at school one of my classmates was wearing them. I asked how he liked them and he said they were absolutely the best headphones he has ever listened to. I decided to buy them and i haven't regretted it since. I also have to take care of some of the peoples negetive comments. Some people say that these headphones are very uncomfortable and take time to get used to. That was not at all the case with me. I listen to them for more than 2 hours almost every day and never get uncomfortable. I actually find that these are much more comfortable than over the ear headphones over a long time period. The sound quality is unbelievable. As soon as i plugged them in my eyes went wide and my jaw dropped. Now there is one negetive at first. The bass is not at all deep or powerful, which i was used to and loved. After the first week or so i became so used to these perfect and clear pitches that i prefer them over any headphones with a deep bass. Every aspect of these headphones is amazing. HIGHLY RECOMENDED!!! P.S. I was wearing the headphones as i was typing the review.

incredible! the sound is truly the best i have ever heard through a set of earphones. make sure you push them in so that NO outside noise can interfere. they isolate all outside sound so that the incoming audio is simply stunning! a must for the SERIOUS AUDIOPHILE!

I ride motorcycles with these earphones and at 80 plus mph you are in your own world, there very loud and they DO NOT come out. Comfortable, easy to get in and TONS of base!
I can't imagine what those people complaining about them falling out are doing, short of jerking the cord they do not come out and I dont know of a better test than an 80 mph motorcycle without a windshield. I have tried many earphones and these are by FARRRR the best.

if you're debating to purchase these, dont hesitate any further. they are recently going for $50, over 50% less than MSRP. great frequency response throughout entire spectrum... even rivaling e4 models. for the price, they are the most value.
Digital camera Review: Above average quality, some flaws Summary: 4 Stars
I bought these earphones about 2 years ago and have recently sent back a second pair to be replaced by the warranty. While I believe these to be one of the better set of earphones on the market in the moderate price range, I think there's something to be said about the durability of the product.
The fit definitely takes a little while to get accustomed to and while the behind-the-ear style of the cord provides a tighter and more stable fit versus say the conventional iPod headphones it can slightly interfere with wearing glasses (as I do), especially if you wear them over a number of hours.
The noise isolation feature is a huge plus for me as I take the New York City subway on a daily basis and being able to play my music at an appropriate volume rather than subjecting my eardrums to unhealthy levels of volume as is the case with the lower end of the market earphones. The bass response is not picked up as much as some of the over the ear style headphones, but the clarity is excellent.
I'll be the first to admit that I do not always treat these headphones with the care that the manufacturer recomends and I am fully aware that in doing so it probably comprimised the durability of the earphones. Constantly winding and unwinding the cord is not the preferred way to store the headphones, but a user is left with little choice since in my opinion the cord length is a bit excessive (you could probably wear these things attached to your shoe and still have sufficient cord length). However, I am surprised that each pair I've used, they lasted only about on year before needing a replacement. That being said, Shure's replacement policy, so long as you're under warranty, is painless.
Overall these are about as good as you'll find, although I am switching over to the Bose in-ear headphones, in part due to the fact that I got them for a greatly reduced price. Perhaps if you've got a gentler touch with handling these types of products then you'll have better luck with the earphones' longevity.
