Digital camera reviews of Shure E2c-n Sound Isolating Earphones (Black)Digital camera Review: Expected more Summary: 3 Stars
I liked this product until it broke on me after 7 months. I jog and therefore the wires wiggle a lot but for the one wire to the right ear to start going out on me only after 7 months was very disappointing. Do the makers of these earplugs understand that people don't sit still when listening to their headphones?
The ear wax on the foamy things was kind of gross but I like gross so it didn't bother me too much but it may bother someone else who isn't into gross.
You do have to adjust the buds a little to get the full sound, no biggie but the buds can make the inside of your ears itchy. If that'll drive you crazy then these or other earbuds probably aren't for you. These require that you stick them way into your ear.
I'm not too crazy about having to go out and buy another pair of earplugs after 7 months. If I had only spent $20 on a pair of cheapies I wouldn't mind but to me, $60 for a pair of earbuds is a little expensive and I expect better quality in the wiring.
Digital camera Review: Fantastic Product, Great Price Summary: 5 Stars
These earphones are great, I have not been on a plane yet with them, but I can say that I used them several times now while cutting my lawn and could not hear the lawnmower at all, just music. I wish I would have purchased some quality earphones years ago, I will never go back.
Digital camera Review: Fantastic after correct setup Summary: 5 Stars
These earbuds are great but you have to set them up correctly. First, they have to be put into your ear canal not just hanging in your ear. Second, you must use the correct size rubber earbud cover. I initially used the smallest sized ear bud cover because it fit in easily but I was a bit frustrated with the weak bass. After switching to the medium earbud cover the bass was absolutely fantastic. I recommend these 100% and they are infinitely better than standard Apple earbuds. I suggest trying the earbuds on first with the small black earbud cover to get used to inserting them into your ear; then use the mediums for incredible sound.
Digital camera Review: Fantastic buy Summary: 5 Stars
These earphones have proven to be nothing but great for my listening experience, my working experience, and my hearing. No longer do I need to crank up the volume on crummy headphones to blast over top of the chaos inside a subway car, nor do I need to choose between music and a screaming baby or earplugs on a jetliner. The answer is simple; earplugs that become earphones. That's what these earphones are. My work productivity has improved due to better focus and a near total lack of minor distraction in an otherwise noisy working environment.
These also stay solidly in place when riding a bicycle or performing gymnastic moves. And best of all, the level of sound quality is so good that I can hear very subtle sounds even beyond the music, such as the occasional glitch in a computer's DAC unit (mainly when there's no actual sound being played).
I might just buy another pair, and I've already bought a pack of replacement foams. Those foams are great but they do get kind of nasty after a few weeks.
Digital camera Review: Fantastic earphones for the price Summary: 4 Stars
Trying to listen to music on the subway and streets of New York can be challenging to say the least. After struggling with the stupid earbuds supplied with my iPod, I finally popped out the 80-some dollars for this very decent set of earphones. What a difference! The sound is crystal clear, and I now hear subtleties in my music that I never heard before. The fit takes some getting used to -- I found on a long plane trip that they can become a bit uncomfortable after a couple of hours of wearing -- but maybe this is just the break-in period. They also fit very securely and do a terrific job of blocking outside noise. Very good value.
