Digital camera reviews of Shure E2c-n Sound Isolating Earphones (Black)Digital camera Review: Good Sound. Sore ears. Summary: 3 Stars
Great at dampening outside sound, but the snug fit in the ear canal leaves something to be desired. The ear plugs are not as spongy and soft as I'd like and can cause the sensitive skin in your inner ear to get a little irritated.
Over all though I prefer them to the standard headphones that came with me ipod. Totally recommend them for a middle market sound dampening (i wouldnt use the word cancelling here) headphones.

Digital camera Review: Good Stuff Summary: 4 Stars
They are a little bulky. It would be nice to have a retractable cord. Sound quality is good and isolation is great if you put the right earpiece on.
Digital camera Review: Good sound for the price Summary: 4 Stars
Got a newer version of these: Not the E2c as I ordered, but an updated model that is the same except for a few asthetic changes from what I can tell.
My impression goes pretty much along with all of the other reviews on here. Can't speak to the longevity of these since I just got them earlier this week. One drawback: I have small ear canals and even the smallest adapter in the included set takes some adjusting to get into my ears right each time.
Digital camera Review: Good sound isolation Summary: 4 Stars
If you're looking for headphones with decent sound isolation, but don't want to spend $300 for Bose, these Shure E2c work pretty well. I travel the New York City area mass transit system every day, and find these do a good job of blocking out the low end train/subway rumble, not to mention the annoyance of cell phone and human conversations. They don't block out everything, but make life more tolerable for sure. In addition, the sound isolation allows you to listen to your music at a much lower volume, which not only saves your hearing but spares others (especially in the office) from listening to sound leakage which can occur at high volume.
I would concur with many others that the bass response could be better, however if you experiment with the earpieces that are provided you can find the tightest possible fit which accomplishes the objectives of 1) the best noise reduction and 2) the best bass response. Again, if you have money to burn go ahead and buy the Bose; however, if you're like me and don't want to break the bank on headphones, the Shure are a very acceptable alternative, especially at the $60 Amazon sale price.
Digital camera Review: Good, If you like in-ears Summary: 3 Stars
I was on the market for a pair of earbuds to replace those terrible ipod pack-ins. After much research, I settled on these. I must say, they lived up to the praise in regards to sound quality. You'll be surprised by the small nuances that good headphones can uncover in your music. These are pretty balanced headphones so you're hearing the music as it was recorded. If you love your big bass, look elsewhere.
However, what I didn't expect was how uncomfortable they would get after a while. After finding that none of the foam pieces gave me a good seal, I used the soft rubber fittings. They feel fine for a bit but they soon make me want to tug at my earlobes to take the pressure off my ear canal. Of course, after doing this, I lose the seal and have to re-insert the buds. Annoying.
All in all, good sound quality, but your level comfort may vary.
