Digital camera Review: A cut above your average PC cabinet

I have a home office with a very nice PC-based rolltop desk. Unfortunately, the desk was made in the late '80s, so it's based around a desktop PC, not a tower. (There is a printer drawer, but a tower gets too hot inside when the door is closed.) Fortunately, the 'multimedia PC' form, which mimics typical stereo gear, has become pretty popular, and its form factor is similar to a late-'80s PC-AT.
I've owned a couple of SilverStone cases in the past, and I've always been pleased with the build quality. To be fair, the backside of the case looks pretty much like any other PC, but the design hides the 'Plain Jane' areas well. The front is a nice brushed aluminum with a black finish. It has only one external bay -- for a DVD drive or a removable HDD -- with a matching aluminum cover plate that can be attached with adhesive. Aligning the drive to match the esthetics takes a little cut-and-try, but isn't too hard to manage.
The cooling on this case is considerably better than earlier SilverStone designs, with one intake fan and two exhaust fans, and room for a third fan in the back. The fans are quiet enough that I didn't bother to buy aftermarket versions, or deal with variable speed controls.
There are plenty of bays for a modern PC design, including a spare location or two for extra USB ports. I have an extra graphics card for a second monitor, a PCI sound card, and a USBx4 card installed, and still have spare slots.
The only thing that I wish it had was a bay or slots for media cards in the front. (It has two USB A ports, and mic and headphone jacks.) If it had that, I would give it 5 stars.
