Digital camera reviews of Sima SIP-3 Ultimate International Travel Adapter Plug SetDigital camera Review: Works after some fidgeting Summary: 4 StarsI bought two of these to charge my (U.S.) camera and laptop in New Zealand. It takes an unexpected amount of pressure to fit the U.S. plugs into the Sima adapter, I'm not sure why. That's not really an issue though. The adapters fit into the NZ wall sockets fine.
One of the adapters I bought works well; the other one, however, takes a good amount of fidgeting before any charge passes through it. (It seems like it wants to be weighted so that the prongs in the wall point slightly upward instead of horizontally.) I tried both adapters with different devices and different wall sockets and confirmed that the problem was the adapter, not some other factor. On closer inspection, the other (better) adapter also exhibits the behavior, although to a significantly smaller extent.
That said, both adapters do work. I'm able to situate the fidgety one so that it doesn't spontaneously interrupt the flow of charge. I've been using them for two weeks.
Digital camera Review: Exactly what I was looking for! Summary: 5 StarsAs I live in Europe and occasionally visit the US, I was looking for a useful combined plug adapter that I can use to both charge my European devices in the US, and to charge my new laptop (that I bought from the US) in Europe.
Fortunately, I chose the Sima SIP-3 Ultimate International Travel Adapter Plug Set and I don't regret my purchase. It is truly universal: you can easily convert any plug standard to any other. What is more, the plug set tuned out to be of rather high quality (I expected something worse because a lot of people complain about similar adapters of poor quality).
To be honest, the third piece of the plug set has been useless for me yet because I have never been in Asia. Still, it might turn out useful at some point in the future.
Digital camera Review: Expensive for just a plug adapter, but it works. Summary: 3 StarsThat's really all that matters. It works, and it's easy to fit in a bag. Just remember this is only a plug adapter, not a voltage adapter. About the only real negative is that if you have to mix plugs (i.e., if you have a British device that needs to go in a European continental socket) you have to chain pieces of this together, and that's not very stable.

Digital camera Review: Works well and stacks together nicely Summary: 4 StarsI'm on the road about 20% of the time, mostly to international destinations, so I'm always on the lookout for travel gadgets that are easy to carry around. I had seen a version of this adapter in the Novotel Hong Kong and finally found it here.
The plugs nestle together nicely (the stock picture doesn't do it justice), although I'm a bit concerned about the long term quality given that it's plastic and I tend to have a lot of things jammed in my shoulder bag. It's easy to tell if you've left an adapter behind because you'd notice the stack wouldn't be complete.
I've used this successfully in Asia (Hong Kong, Taiwan and mainland China), as well as Australia. Yes, there is an adapter for Australia, you have to turn the prongs on the US adapter to fit the Oz electrical outlets, but it only takes 2 seconds.
Digital camera Review: International Travel Adapter Plug set Summary: 5 StarsI bought this set for my just finished two weeks in Germany. Since we are planning trips to other locations I liked the idea of getting one complete set of power plug adapters usable all over the world. The adapter for Germany's outlets worked perfectly, no complaints and has the ability to take three prong laptop power plugs if needed, some I looked at don't. All parts store together in the set when not needed so easy to keep and not loose a stand alone plug. I'll probably buy another set in a few months just to be ready for our next international adventure!
