We purchased 2 of these nesting travel adapters and they worked perfectly for our trip to Italy. Helpful hint: Plug your cord into the adapter and then plug the adapter into the wall. When unplugging your device, unplug the adapter from the wall and then your device from the adapter. GREAT price and quick shipping plus excellent quality. I have used this travel adapter set in Ireland, France, Czech Republic, Italy and Egypt. Works perfectly, fit all outlets. Love this product so much I bought a few more sets plus a replacement set because I forgot my EU plug (which worked in Egypt) in Egypt :( I highly recommend you will not be disappointed! So far I have only used this in Europe (France, Spain, Netherlands), but I have been very happy with it. Another traveler needed to use his UK plug and we put two of these connections together to plug in his and it was perfect. This adapter worked perfectly for my recent trip to France. It consists of a set of three adapters that nest together for storage; in Europe you only need one but in some countries conversion might require two. I brought along another adapter, the Kensington all-in-one "Travel Plug Adapter," but found this one much better for my purposes: it's shorter, which means that the plug stays in securely without putting too much leverage on the socket, and it's lighter. (Also cheaper, last I checked.) I think for most people this product is strictly better than an all-in-one like the Kensington, as you're unlikely to need a different adapter every day anyway. We just got back from 18 days in Italy, and used this adapter set to charge our iPod, Zune, and Canon digital camera. The set is sturdy and functional, and made charging our electronics a breeze.
I'm not much of a tech person, so I don't know what else to add -- except that these served our purpose perfectly! I definitely recommend them for travel in Europe.
