Digital camera Review: Does NOT work as promised
Summary: 1 Stars

We live in Malawi and bought these converters for some of our USA appliances. We bought 2. They both blew out within minutes of bring plugged in. And, yes, we followed the watts and volts suggested by the product. Not a good product.

Digital camera Review: Does what it promises - do not use hair dryer or straightener

This worked fine until i decided to try and plug in my travel hair dryer into the transformer...and it blew both the hair dryer and the transformer up. Yep...well, at least it worked while it lasted!

Digital camera Review: Doing well first but ...

Yesterday I used it with a Honeywell HHT-011 Compact Air Purifier with Permanent HEPA Filter as usual Honeywell HHT-011 Compact Air Purifier with Permanent HEPA Filter , I just woke up morining only to find that the purifier is not working , I told to my self it must be the device , then I checked the converter only to see that the RED indicator light of the converter is not working ,I disassemble the converter no fuse nothing weird .

It's up to you to buy this converter I have a second one and let's see how many months/days it will gonna last with me .

I'll keep you updated with a second review about this , I guess I'm lucky enough to not lose the purifier itself, although I lost the 20 $ plus the international shipping fees .

Digital camera Review: Don't even bother.

I bought this for use with a plug converter for an Australian outlet. I tried it out when I got it in my American outlet with a converter and it would only charge very low voltage things. My computer and my lamp were too heavy for it. It barely charged my cell phone. It's wimpy, heavy, and a waste of your time. Don't bother with it. I decided to return it before even owning it for a day because it is defective and doesn't perform as promised.

Digital camera Review: Don't leave home without it

Works like a charm for recharging elec. gadgets (iPhone, iPod, laptop, etc.), as well as running lower wattage devices like elec. toothbrushes and razors. At 200 watts, it isn't suitable for most hair dryers -- hair dryers need about 600 watts, and some hotels prohibit their use because they'll trip the circuits. (Many hotels provide a built-in dryer anyway, and it's one less thing to pack.) An absolute must if you're taking anything designed for 110v 60 Hz -- current in U.K. and EU is 220v 50 Hz, and it'll zap your goodies if you don't have a converter.

I'd recommend using this with an All-in-One Travel Power Plug Adapter, especially if traveling to the U.K., where a different outlet from the rest of Europe requires a plug with different prongs than this converter comes with. We also used the Monster MP OTG400 Power Strip with this, so we could recharge phones and camera all at once.

The converter, adapter and power strip all fit in one little zippered bag -- we left them all connected and ready to pull out and plug in, wherever we went.
