Digital camera reviews of Skullcandy INK'D Earbuds (Dark Grey)

Digital camera Review: Amazling little earbuds
Summary: 4 Stars

I cannot believe that these little, inexpensive earbuds get such good bass. I usually like the clamshell earphones, but these are much better on the street. great with the laptop too. These phones greatly reduce ambient noise while delivering music at a fairly low volume setting. I like that I do not need to blast to hear. Maybe it will help save what is left of my ears. Beethoven wrote it while deaf, but I sure couldn't listen to it that way.

Digital camera Review: Awesome

I've never been a fan of using the EQ on any MP3 player as I feel it detracts from the music. I don't need to with these. With a flat EQ I've been able to listen to everything from rock to r&b to classical without even thinking of touching the EQ.

Like others have stated, sound travels though the cord to the ears but, from personal experience, these aren't near as bad as some others. Sensitivity is awesome, I no longer have to run any higher than 75% volume on my Sansa e200 to get a nice loud song to my ears. My last earbuds required an external amp to keep up the volume like that and didn't sound half as good as these unless accompanied buy and amp and some EQ adjustment.

In short: If you're looking for earbuds with bass. Look no further. I can't speak for the rest of the Skullcandy line but these sound just awesome and are extremely comfortable.

Digital camera Review: Awesome Earbuds
Summary: 4 Stars

These are some of the best earbuds that I have used. I bought these for the gym on the reccomendation of a friend. They fit very well with the large inserts. They come with three different size silicone inserts so it is easy to find the size that fits your ear. The wires are a bit thin, but after a month of wrapping them around my Sansa Clip, they are still working fine. The bass response is nothing short of amazing for a set of $20 earbuds. For those that have complained about noise being transmitted through the cord...that happens with a lot of earbuds that fit airtight in your ears. All I did was run the cord up under my shirt and it eliminated about 90% of the extraneous noise.

Digital camera Review: Awesome buds, inserts can be a bit aggravating....
Summary: 4 Stars

I've owned 2 pairs of these little powerful earbuds, and let me tell you, you won't be disappointed with them. However, the silicon/rubber inserts can be a little bit of a hassle if you're moving around a bit.

I can't remember exactly when i had purchased my first set of earbuds from skullcandy, but i remember when i plugged them into my iPod, i was amazed at the quality of highs/lows that these things put out.... So i bought another pair to match my PSP. Sadly, within about 7 months, i had lost a pair, and slammed the other pair in my car door... (R.I.P.)... Needless to say, i needed a couple of replacement pairs. So, i found these babies online and didn't hesitate to order two sets of them, since i knew what they could crank out.

As soon as they came in the mail, i ripped into the packaging, threw them in my ears, and hooked them up to my ipod. I could tell an immediate difference between the first two pairs, and the new INK'D ones i was now using. As you move around, even if its a full body movement, they crackle most of the time. This isn't due to the electronic part of the earbuds, or wiring... but the silicon inserts that fit into your ear. I blame the raised "Skull" Skullcandy logo thats pressed into two sides of the insert. Im guessing they create very small air pockets within your ear canal and thats where this crackling comes from. (I managed to scrounge up the little bag of inserts that came with my first couple of sets of earbuds, tried them, and didn't get any crackling at all. They don't have a skull pattern pressed into them.)

All in all, these buds are just as powerful, cheap, and reliable as the first ones ive owned. This review isn't meant to deter you from buying these earbuds at all. Just to warn of the crackling, etc. you'll get out of the inserts...

Digital camera Review: Awesome for the $$$
Summary: 5 Stars

Feels good, sounds good, didn't cost much! Bass response is dependent on the "seal" inside of the ear. Play with the included tips to get the best combo of fit/sound. The price just went up, but mine was less than 10 inc shipping... Too Cool!
