Digital camera reviews of Skullcandy INK'D Earbuds (Dark Grey)

Digital camera Review: For under 20 dollars these beat out earbuds double the price.
Summary: 4 Stars

I've purchased a few pairs of Ink'd earbuds over the years. The first pair was damaged due to wrapping the cord; the connection between the jack and wire snapped. The second pair however lasted nearly 2 years; the only reason I replaced them is because I lost all of the ear bud gel caps.

My current pair I picked up from Radio Shack...you will pay a little more upfront in stores, but for a total of 24.82 with tax I also got a 1 year replacement plan from the Shack. No questions asked, if they stop working, become damaged, or as the clerk put it "you find "anything" wrong within 12 months, you get a brand new pair). So technically I'm getting two pairs for the price of one.

The sound quality is excellent, I gave them 4 instead of 5 stars only because there are some extremely high end earbuds that are better. But for prices ranging from 12-20 dollars, Skullycandy makes a decent pair of earbuds. The bass is decent, the mids are perfect, and the highs are present. I feel surrounded by music when i put these in and they effectively block out nearly all outside noise when turned on.

The comfort is great, although as others have posted you'll get sound from the rubbing of the wires if you are doing exercise with them. But they are snug and feel soft in the ear, some may find them tight but they do come with different size gel caps.

The style is good and while some audiophiles bash Skullcandy saying it is style over function, the combination of sound quality and style is right on. The ear bud caps match the colored band around each ear bud as well as the logo on the end of each bud.

Since I'm rough on headphones, and I don't even use this pair for the gym, I won't spend more than 30 on earbuds and for the quality, Skullcandy Ink'd buds rival 40-50 dollar ear buds easily.

As with any earbuds they will wear out eventually and can be fragile, but again for under 20 bucks you are getting a good looking and good sounding pair of buds.

Digital camera Review: Go with something else.
Summary: 1 Stars

The worst part about these is that every time you bump the cord, you can hear it. It's really loud and obnoxious. I use these at work while I'm typing at the computer and if the cord even rubs up against my shirt or arm, I can hear it in my ears. It's very frustrating. I wouldn't buy these again.

Digital camera Review: Good Price, Good Quality
Summary: 4 Stars

Title sums it up...

These earbuds are comfortable -- nice and soft and squishy for minimal ear fatigue. And they come in three different sized silicon buds to fit just about anyone's ear canal.

Range is good -- highs, mid, and bass are solid for a sub $20 set.

Digital camera Review: Good not great
Summary: 3 Stars

The ear bud covers come off really easily and the sound isn't that great. I didn't pay too much for these so I guess I got what I paid for.

Digital camera Review: Good purchase
Summary: 5 Stars

This is my third time buying the Ink'd, and thats because i love it! Im a college student, and literally over half of the kids walk around with these exact headphones on because they are cheap, comfortable, stylish, and have great sound quality. Perfect for the person who tends to somehow always ruin their headphones, like me.
