Digital camera reviews of Skullcandy Smokin Bud In Ear S2SBBR-BZ (Black Rubberized)

Digital camera Review: Noise Out!
Summary: 4 Stars

these are a great pair of earbuds for work - they block out lots of noise.

Digital camera Review: Not a big risk, very nice
Summary: 5 Stars

Most people are rating these things down because they have they tendency to fall out with sudden movement. Maybe they do fall out on occasion but any earbud like these will, and it isn't a huge problem. When people rate these down they are assuming that they were supposed to get a really great set of headphones and there not considering the price. Your rating should consider the price you spend.

At 9.99 (when I bought them) plus free shipping from amazon prime these are a steal, the sound quality isn't superb but its surely better than the stock headphones and it has fairly good bass response.

They come with three sizes to suit your personal ear, and it comes with a little clothe bag for carrying. Overall I can't complain, this is a great Christmas gift for practically nothing.

Digital camera Review: Not bad for the price.
Summary: 3 Stars

The sound on these ear buds is really nice. It even has good bass (yes, on earbuds). To make a long story short; these earbuds are a good bang for your buck. They sound good, they look nice, they feel comfortable, and they're less than $20! If you're looking for decent quality sounding, outside noise reducing ear buds; these are for you.

I purchased another set of these headphones sometime last year. A few months ago the sound started acting up and I was only able to hear sound from one ear bud. So I would say the only problem with these earbuds is the life expectancy. Maybe they were just my old headphones, maybe not. For less than $20 bucks I was willing to give them another chance.

PS: Just don't buy the white Skullcandy earbuds. The quality of them is the same as any other color, I'm sure, but the rubber white part starts to turn yellow after a while even if you don't touch them with dirty hands. So I would say buy the white buds at your own risk. ;)

Digital camera Review: Not exactly durable
Summary: 3 Stars

These headphones are average. The sound is good and all the music that comes out sounds crisp. The problem I have with these headphones is that they aren't very durable. I place these headphones in my pocket once in awhile when I travel, so the cable gets bent. The plastic that encases the cable is very stiff, stiff enough that if its bent too far the plastic cracks and breaks open, revealing the wiring. This then leads to the wiring falling apart and the headphones stop working. Maybe I'm too used to my other headphones being made of a more flexible material, but I'd rather have them last longer so that I don't have to shell out another 20-30 dollars for headphones.

Digital camera Review: Not road-worthy
Summary: 1 Stars

I'd purchased these after a co-worker had expressed satisfaction with them. For the first few months, they were great. I liked the in-line volume control and the fitted silicone buds, which gives Skullcandy advantage well above other earbuds. (The in-line volume is especially handy on public transportation when trains go from screeching to dead-quiet and I don't want to dig in my bag or pocket to futz with iPod's volume every 2 minutes.)

Alas, these Skullcandy earbuds weren't tough enough. After only 4 months the wiring has shorted, right where it meets the audio jack, making listening impossible without twisting and jamming down the wiring into the jack with the finesse that used to be required of tuning TV antenna.

So now I have a $30-pair of worthless earphones. Ipod earbuds may be inferior but at least they lasted a couple years before they kicked the bucket.
