Digital camera Review: Best thing to ever happen to music!

I remember reading about this when it was first coming out and thought it was cool but didn't bite because it was a little pricey. Now that they have a G2 out the first gen player is cheap I got my 8gb for well under a $100 brand new. Before I bought the player I listened to slacker.com for a month or so and loved it. Personally I think it beats the snot out of pandora. So I have had the player for about 2 months now with very few problems I got it to sync with my wireless netgear router no problem thats usually how I refresh the stations but I did get the PC connection working fine but you do have to fiddle with the routers IP settings so the player doesn't conflict. I would try to update the player to newest firmware first and try wireless if that works no need to do the pc connection.
The only issues I have with the slacker radio stations is that you can not unfavorite a song on the player after you have made it a favorite. You have to sync it then make the change on the website by editing the station. My only other issue with the player is that it is not a great mp3 player. Album art doesn't work, no sorting options, also have a had a few files get corrupted and stop playing and I had to reload them. On the plus side the Slacker radio stations are so good I rarely use the mp3s and also you can put any file type in the mp3 storage area so you can use it for just general storage if you want.
All told I think this a great gadget if you aren't sure check out their website and listen for free at slacker.com if you like that then you basically are getting the same thing but portable. I have many other mp3 players that have and will continue to collect dust while I listen the my slacker every day.
Oh also if you were wondering about the touch strip it is basically useless unless you mount it in your car then maybe I could see it being better than the side controls but if you have it in you pocket or laying around somewhere it is way to easy to hit something on accident and change the station or skip the song.
