Oh yea, baby! This thing is everything that it is cracked up to be. Set up took about 10 minutes and I was streaming video from my house to my office computer. The quality of the video isn't great, but for my purposes (watching/listening to CNBC and Fox News at the office) the quality if perfectly acceptable. For what it's worth, my home DSL speed is 3.0M/768k and my office is a T1 connection, so the upstream speed from home is the limiting factor, but, like I said, the picture is not bad.

I was skeptical that this would work as advertised. What a pleasant surprise! It is nothing short of amazing! Easy to set up, easy to use. The picture quality is excellent! I had no issue with my router or firewall. I have used it on my home network and from a remote location on my laptop. At the remote location it worked as if I was in my living room. How cool is that? I had an extra cable box that was hooked up to a basement TV. I followed the quick setup instructions and it was working in 30 minutes. There is no capture function or DVR functions, unless you have that type of cable equipment connected to the Slingbox. The AV unit only allows one connected device. There is a pro model which controls several devices. For $109 this can't be beat.Digital camera Review: Amazing and User Friendly!

I got this as a present from my employer at Christmas and this thing is amazing.
I am a Mac user and have a DVR from my Cable provider. I got the Slingbox along with the Slinglink and within 10 minutes I was up and running. I have traveled across the US and out of the country on 2 occasions and not had to miss one show or event that I wanted to see.
I would highly recommend. I hate to hear that a few people have had setup issues but I don't even know how that is possible. I even got my PS3 working on my network through the Slinglink and it is moving much faster than it did over my WiFi connection.
Thanks Slink Media for providing a fabulous product with no subscription. By the way... I will be buying these as gifts for some friends and family.

When the slingboxes first came out I spent quite a bit of time trying to figure out how this thing works. At first I thought it would be some piece of junk that had a hidden flaw or catch. After all the raving reviews and ratings I saw for the sling I finally dove in. I can't tell you how unbelievably easy it was to set up and use it remotely. High quality software and hardware. My only complaint is the video compression/quality could be better. It's a little hard to watch football remotely @ 420 kbps although do able. If you watch football within the LAN (1000-2000kbps) then it looks fine. Definitely a good buy!Digital camera Review: As Advertised

The product was as advertised. Good reception, good replication of the remote functions. Not a piece of cake to set up, especially the remote sensor that needs to be precisely attached to the cable box. Good value and an inexpensive alternative to installing cable and a new TV in another room.
