I have only been using this product for a few days, but so far it has been flawless. I have accessed it both locally via my local area network (LAN)and remotely. Of course it works better when you are viewing it on a computer in your home. I have a 19" flat screen, viewing it full screen is about 8/10 in my opinion, pretty good actually. Remotely is a slightly different story, I usually watch it in a window which would be equivalent to about a 6-8 inch screen and it is 7.5/10 quality. Remotely I stream at about 400 kbps and it is very acceptable in my opinion. I have Dish Network with a DVR model 625. I can do exactly everything I do at home. There is a little lag when changing the channels and using functions on my DVR, but I'm not complaining. I would recommend this to anyone!! I work at a facility about 30 miles out of my home town and I have searched for programs and websites for over a year to watch tv shows and sports, I have found some, but now I have full control over what I watch. Bought this so my stepson, a college student, could watch TV downstate without having to pay cable fees. Works nicely. We tested and used it while in Las Vegas and the box was in Maine -- no problem. It took calling the company to get it set up properly. They were cordial, efficient and effective. Had it running after 10 minutes online with the service tech. Kind of wish I had bought the one that allows more than one user at a time. For anyone that travels or wants to share TV signal, Slingbox is a must. Access your TIVO to watch your live or recorded programs or program your TIVO remotely. This product is phenomenal. To be able to watch your own TiVo over the internet is just great. And the quality is great as well. In an hour show, it is unusual to have any stoppage of play, and if so, it is obviously because my wireless card wasn't picking up a great signal. A++ product.
