Digital camera Review: Excellent product!! Get this if you don't already have one

I highly recommend this unit. It is great for travel especially or if you're somewhere where you want to have direct access to your cable/satellite or you're DVR.
I use this mainly on my Palm Treo 700p when I am away from a television when you're in need of catching a DVR event like the news or a ballgame . Or how about when you're at the airport during a layover you can catch whatever you have recorded on you're TV. I was at the airport during the national championship for college basketball so it came in real handy to catch the game from the freedom of you're phone.
I also have this installed on my laptop so anywhere I go I can access my cable box as well although I don't use this as much but occasionally it does come in handy.
Installation is real simple. They have a install wizard that will configure you're router for you so it's nearly impossible to screw up.
At the latest prices they are offering this for it's a steal and I would highly recommend it.

This slingbox is fantastic! I use it on both Mac OS X and Windows XP and it works seamlessly with both. It is able to stream live TV effortlessly to laptop, desktop and my Treo 700W (Verizon). I use this primarily while on call at the hospital because the hospital cable doesn't carry a lot of sports stations, but I can also use it to watch movies on HBO, recordings from my DVR, etc. Setup was very easy, but I would recommend setting up the port forwarding manually instead of relying on UPnP (this is very easy to do and the software walks you through it!) to prevent your router from dropping the connection on occasion. This is a great product!
I have my Slingbox AV connect to a Directv HD Tivo.
I have been using [...] for over a year and just switched to the Slingbox AV because the computer I was using with orb was having trouble streaming live TV. I purchased the Slingbox instead of buying a new computer because of the cost difference. This has proven to be the right choice. The Slingbox is much better than orb at streaming live TV. Orb uses Windows Media Player where as Slingbox has their own "SlingPlayer". The Slingplayer is far superior to windows media player at adjusting to the varing bitrates required to stream to cell phone.
I'm using the Slingplayer for Windows mobile 5 on a Cingular 8525 and it works great as long as I have HSDPA access, which is most of the time. Video looks great with far less problems than with orb and windows media player. Notice I said less problems. The very nature of trying to stream video to mobile phone makes getting "perfect" video all the time unlikely, but after using orb for over a year I'm shocked at the quality the slingbox can deliver.
When I use the Slingplayer on my laptop, it's pretty much perfect. I can't say anything negative about it.
Bottom line. If you want to stream video from your home entertainment equipment to any computer or cell phone, Slingbox is the way to go.
Digital camera Review: Good Delivery by Supplier - lousy service by producer

Ordered the product via Amazon. Delivery was faultless.
The problem started when I tired to install (for those of you who need the bottom line - it is still not installed).
I have contacted their on line chat help line (great feature), but when I explained my problem, which is basically that the system does not work, the support could not solve my problem. They advised me to go to look for help at other software suppliers, whose software might influence the installation. In that case it as Zone Alarm, and although I have uninstalled it completely, Sling media's technical support told that I have to contact them (Zone Alarm).
Next time I will contact Sling media, I will deny having any connections to Zone Alarm. We will see how it will work then.
After several hours of not being succesful, I have asked tech support to take over the installation buy taking control over the PC, (so that they can validate what is installed and what might be missing), but they refused.
Bottom line: I have a nice product, which I cannot use, nor do I have the time to go through the process of trying to install it.
When I will find those extra hours to figure it out I will update the review
This will most likely be the last product I will ever order from Sling media.
Their hype is nice, their product - less.
