Digital camera Review: Absolutely amazing

works exactly as advertised. I had my brother set it up in an unused room in my mom's house (across the country). Then I simply downloaded the software and entered the player's ID number. works like a charm.
Two caveats though:
1) wifi: the player does not do wi-fi unless you buy an expensive adapter. wasn't a problem for me, but may be for you. then again, wifi is pretty unreliable and much slower than wired, so I don't think its worth doing anyway
2) restrictions: there are two restrictions that kind of suck. only one person can operate the slingbox at a time. if my buddy turned it on on his end, mine would close. At least it tells me who did it.
Also, if I watch (and I were connected to a cable box that connects to a TV) the cable box would be switching channels as I control it. That means wherever it was set up would be controlled by me. not a huge deal, but a hassle if you set it up at someone else's place like i did.
All in all, its great and now i can watch all the blazer's games without having to buy league pass year after year!!

I'm petty good at hooking up electronics, but this one through me for a loop. It was like the directions missed a step. Took some help from a friend to finally get it right. Once it's hook up it's great. I bought Slingbox because I knew I was going to be recouping from surgery for several weeks in bed. Slingbox was a better option then adding extra cable outlets and a TV. One thing to remember is that Slingbox is dedicated to the TV it's set with. If I am watching on the laptop from bed and my husband change the channel from the dedicated set, my laptop channel would also change and vice a versa. I live overseas and miss certain broadcasts like Sports and TV serials not available where I live.I can get linked on Slingbox with no problem but when streaming at 330-360bps and trying to show on a screen the size of a 32" monitor,the picture is unacceptable(fuzzy,distorted and wavy).
If Slingbox can rectify this one,it is well worth the investment.Overall,I am satisfied with the delivery on a PC but am not thrilled with the picture quality on a TV screen.

My mom bought this for my dad. It is fantastic. My dad can watch his movies on the TV and my mom can watch her sports on the computer just my turning on the slingbox. We use it all the time. It is a must. It is one of the most reliable pieces of equipment in our house.Digital camera Review: Amazing

This product works flawlessly. I can now watch high definition tv from anywhere in the house (via my laptop or other computer). The best use of this is watching tv on your Windows Mobile cell phone via EVDO or WiFi. I can watch tv at the office, at school, or even on long car rides (not recommended while driving).
I give it only 4 stars because in order to get HD you need to pay an extra $50, and in order to get SlingPlayer for your mobile device it is another $30... making it pretty steep... But it is worth it in the long run because of the benefits it brings.
