I started off with a competitor's product. The install was difficult. I quickly found that there were extra costs if I used it on other computers.
I took the risk to buy the top of the line slingbox. Install was easy and there a no extra charges. For a reasonable fee, I can use it on my PDA.
Tech support very helpful. Their answers influenced my buying. Glad I made purchase!

I bought this product because, as it stated on the side of the box, it was MAC ready. Well it wasn't. So I jumped over to Windows on my wonderful little Intel Powerbook and I have to say that the software that came with this device was the first decent piece of code I have seen on the Windows side in a LONG time! Setup was as simple as could be and the picture was great.
It is deceptive that they say that it is Mac compatible but it is coming (very soon) and I imagine if Sling Media could write a decent program for XP the Mac version should be no different. I also wish that the HD cables were already released. I am tired of taking my entertainment center apart every month for new gadgets!
All in all... this is an amazing product. Highest rating!

This thing is awesome. I have used it to watch football games on my cell phone while walking through Disney World. I have used it to watch my home TV on my laptop while in airports and in hotel rooms. I even used it to watch TV on my laptop using my home wifi will relaxing in the hot tub. The only problems I have had with it are due to internet speed. You will want to have a good amount of upload bandwidth at your home to get the best picture over the internet. Otherwise it will stutter. Download speed of 150k is adequate as long as the upload speed is there. Insanely easy to set up and get it working. The slingbox pro is one of the best new inventions. It really works. It is simple to setup and easy to use. I forgot to set my DVR to tape one of my shows, so I just pulled up my slingbox and set it to record even though I was not at home. If you are a TV lover, then this is a must have for you. This actually does what it's supposed to do and is really a great solution. The one time purchase price is well worth avoiding ANY monthly charges for TV and the lame, watered down selection offered by the cell phone providers is pathetic. FULL cable TV on my pocket PC or any connected computer anywhere in the world is a great capability in my opinion.
