I ordered one of these to add a second switch at the bottom of my basement stairs. The first one I ordered only had a range of about 3-4 feet maximum. I tried all four channels with no improvement. Thinking I had a faulty one, I ordered another which had the same problem. I couldn't get a refund for the first one because I was out of the 30-day return period before I installed it. To return the second one I had to pay shipping for the return. So I've lost about $35 out of pocket on these switches. I would highly recommend avoiding this product.
