Digital camera Review: BEWARE!!!!! if buying for a Holiday gift
Summary: 4 Stars

A must buy if your looking for a simple digital picture frame, that looks great. This picture frame is great, easy to use, pictures look great. has music function and video function.

The only issue I had is that I bought it for a Christmas gift, and Tiger usually ships their products in a brown box. This product comes by it self, so when it arrived in the mail my mother saw it. Just be careful.

Digital camera Review: Beware of Seller
Summary: 2 Stars

I purchased 2 of these frames to give as Christmas gifts. Both frames had obviously been previously returned. The boxes were a bit battered, a piece of a receipt was still taped to one and the inside packaging for the cords was torn open. I decided to try my luck anyway and load photos.

The first frame worked well. Loading the photos was quite easy and the Optix feature worked very well for automatically resizing the photos and saving me the trouble. I was also satisfied with the menu options and ease of use. It is also a very attractive frame and displays the photos in fairly good quality.

The second frame, however, did not work nearly as well. The memory card reader was not seated right and the card almost could not be inserted. The slideshow also did not work properly and flickered in between photos.

I returned both frames. The frame when it's in working order may be decent enough but I caution against this seller/store. I purchased a 'new' product and received someone else's return.

Digital camera Review: Beware! Company is bankrupt/out of business!
Summary: 1 Stars

I purchased a Smartparts frame that was dead out of the box (not the same one, but not relevant for this review). They are out of business and your only luck will be returning to Amazon or wherever you purchase the frame. Judging by a few posters who got items that appeared used, there may be issues with the frames as well.

The one I bought, as I said, was dead out of the box and I promptly returned it to the place of purchase. I'm going with a different brand.

Digital camera Review: Buy something else
Summary: 2 Stars

You know how you read these reviews and you think, "how could it be that bad?" It is. I suppose if you have a couple of digital snap shots to put on a frame, then this product might work just fine. But if you are trying to do something more complex, avoid this one. It was my plan to give my mother a nice slide show of her grand daughters. I picked out about 250 shots, all taken with a Nikon D90. After looking at many offerings on Amazon, I picked this frame, even though the signs to avoid this were there in the bad reviews.

First off, the instructions are awful. They don't nearly explain how to operate the controls. But you can eventually figure it out. I had enough pics that I did not try to download them to the frame. I loaded in the SD card. All the shots are taken by the same camera and some were edited in Photoshop. All were jpeg format. All were crystal clear.

The frame would only read about 30 of them. I could see all of them in the file from the control panel but the frame would not display them. So after spending some frustrating time on the company website (which - not surprisingly - is not done very well either) I downloaded some "optimizing" software. There aren't really any instructions for using this software. You have to sort of figure it out. I don't know what the "optimization" does, but I can tell you it severely 'de-optimizes' your photo quality. Looking at them now on the frame, some of my photos might have well been taken with some out of focus proto - digital pocket camera from the 90s. I can't really tell any rhyme or reason why the software chose to 'fuzzy up' the pics it did. In addition, it puts photos you've rotated in photoshop back to their original wrong rotation and you can only fix this while you look at the photos, with the remote control. This is a huge flaw in my opinion. I'm going to try to fiddle with the 'optimized' file again on my computer to re-rotate these, but I fear the software will recognize that I have 'deoptimized' them.

I don't know which frame is better, but avoid this one.

Digital camera Review: Consumer
Summary: 5 Stars

I have purchased two of these picture frames in a three-month period. I think the picture frame is exceptional, easy to use, the photographs look great on this frame. Also has pan & Zoom feature on remote-control yes, it has a remote control that great! For the size. I believe is the best deal on the market today!
