Digital camera reviews of Smartparts SP72 7-Inch Digital Picture Wood Frame with Beige Matting (Espresso)Digital camera Review: Beautiful Frame Summary: 5 Stars
This SmartParts frame is wonderful! It was easy to load photos onto it and my husband is thrilled to have it on his desk. It was an excellent purchase.
Digital camera Review: Big Problem--Power cord doesn't work--no stars Summary: 1 Stars
I received this picture frame for Christmas, but just got around to setting it up. Impossible. It seems there's something wrong with the power supply. It won't turn on. There's no way to communicate this problem to the company via its website.
I am giving this one star only because it seems that the review will not be accepted without at least one star. The product is actually worthless.
Digital camera Review: Bought 2 7" & 1 10.4" and am very pleased Summary: 5 Stars
Recently bought 3 SmartParts frames - 2 7" & 1 10.4". All delivered quickly by Amazon and in perfect working order. Loaded all 3 using both the application provided and also directly from the PC using the supplied USB cable. All performed flawlessly. Pictures are bright & colorful.
Using the USB is by far the easiest way to load the internal memory and gives you total control. Only feature I would like to see in future products is the ability to not display a certain folders pictures but allow them to be loaded.
Very pleased, well worth the money. Makes great gifts especially if you load some pictures for the person to enjoy.
Digital camera Review: Broke after 9 months Summary: 2 Stars
The frame was ok, but it broke after about 9 months. The resolution and brightness were mediocre. I'm now looking for another one and will stay away from this brand.
Digital camera Review: By-pass the software for this picture frame - it stinks! Summary: 3 Stars
Ok, here's my unprofessional opion: The software for this picture frame is not user friendly and is very unreliable (locks up/crops pictures oddly/turns horizontal pictures vertical and vice versa). I got this as a Christmas gift, and thankfully I also received the SanDisk 2GB memory card, which I HIGHLY recommend purchasing. After unsuccessfully fooling with the software that it came with I gave up and decided to just by-pass the software and copy my photos directly to the memory card and not save any photos to the internal memory of the picture frame. This appears to be working successfully. It plays my pictures in the exact order that they are on the memory card and doesn't "chop off" anyones heads now. The actual picture frame is nice and the image quality is good. I also seem to be having a problem with a touchy power cord. If it gets bumped or wiggled it just shuts off. I just got it out of the box today, so I haven't contacted the company about this issue yet. The moral of the story...you get what you pay for.
