Digital camera reviews of Smartparts SP72 7-Inch Digital Picture Wood Frame with Beige Matting (Espresso)

Digital camera Review: Digital Photo Frame
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a good looking picture frame. I liked the wood frame so it looks like a "regular" picture frame. It was also sooooo easy to work! You could take all of the pictures off of your camera in minutes. It was a great gift for new grand parents

Digital camera Review: Digital Photo frame
Summary: 4 Stars

This frame is very nice. Easy to use. My only negative comment would be the price, if I had waited for the Christmas deals, I could have gotten a large frame for less.

Digital camera Review: Digital Picture Frame
Summary: 5 Stars

Great product. I bought it for my mom for Christmas and she is 100% computer/technology illiterate. She has no problems with it and loves it.

Digital camera Review: Disappointed
Summary: 2 Stars

I thought the image quality was low and that its operations were far too unintuitive. Also, the frame is a weird size ratio. I wasn't able to use the Smartpart software, because I'm on a Mac, so I needed to go through a bunch of photos using Photoshop Elements and crop them to a strange, never-before-heard-of ratio to get them looking appropriate on the frame.

Digital camera Review: Don't Buy This Frame
Summary: 1 Stars

I took a chance when I bought this frame, after reading some negative reviews. I thought I could easily bypass all the problems. Nope, they happened to me too. Its a good looking frame but the problem is getting the pictures transferred to it from my pc. I never could get the OptiPix to work and don't bother calling SmartParts--they won't answer.

I finally figured out that when you turn the frame off, it reverts back to internal memory, so everytime I tried to copy it would go to internal memory and quickly fill up. Also, WIndows won't recognize the flash drive inside the frame so you can't copy to it while it's in the frame. What you have to do is copy all your pictures to the external memory while its plugged in to the pc, then insert it in the frame, but even then the order of the pictures was different and several frames kept getting turned sideways. Its taken over 5 hours to set this thing up. Not worth the low price if you ask me. This will be my last SmartParts purchase.
