I honestly didn't know what I was getting into, but the low price was attractive. What I got was indeed a 25' Category 5/RJ45 cable, good for hardwiring your computer to your router or hub. It was actually black in color, and it was manufactured by General Electrics (GE). It came in a clamshell plastic packaging with a perforated tab that you can push in with your fingers and then pull out the wire quite easily.
So far it works fine. I recommend it for price and quality. Just ignore the weird product listing.

This cord is a hefty well put together CAT 5E that will make your mother proud. The thing is... be sure you want 25 feet of it. I cannot lower my rating of the product for this, because it is really nice, but I will say this. If you are thinking to yourself "this is not much more money than the 10 foot, I might as well" just remember that that cord has got to go somewhere and unless you want to span a distance that is the length of five full grown men you might just want to think about a 15 or 10 foot cord. Just saying.
oh and 'snag resistant' with this cord also means 'sometimes hard to disconnect because the cover over the little clip is so hefty.' Better than not there at all in my opinion.
Have fun LAN PARTYING IT UP WITH YOUR FRIEND IN THE KITCHEN while you are in your room.

Great buy, good quality as well. I don't have it constantly ran to my pc, so it's great for me to be able to roll it back up and put it back under my entertainment center w/o the mess. Very manageable. Highly recommend product.
