Digital camera Review: Good for the money

The only complaint I have is the sound. With good earphones there is quite a bit of static (noise) with DVD's.
I enjoy using this speaker system when listening to books. The EQ for voice is excellent.

I would love to know if anyone can tell me how to "reset" this thing.
I opened it up and removed the battery, unplugging it completely. I had hoped doing this would restore the menu. I've owned it for some time and happy with the usual things. The product is good for its price and compact, I like it for traveling and sharing my music and videos with others. Some have said they cannot get the video output. Hopefully, they have applied their settings on the iPod for video out. I am hoping someone can give me a tip, since sending it in for repair seemed costly, and I only paid around 70 bucks for it and fixing it was around 50 bucks. I sure would appreciate any hints to reset it and get the menu back and then the video. I currently get a light blue screen only and no menu any more. :-(

This is a great device, the speakers rock hard, and the volume is good, you can leave the IPOD in this forever if you want, it syncs to my apple computer with a USB cable, and the Remote control is too cool ! The video out is great and looks great on my HD 47 inch DLP TV !
The only downside in my opinion, is that it weighs alot, feels like a laptop almost, feels weird carrying it around and you lose the portability of the ipod headpones and put it in your pocket use of just the ipod, but it will play music when closed. It only shows video when the pod is putting out video, but thats cool, saves battery life, and I had to set the video out in the ipods video setting..... other than those small issues, I love this ! I record over the air Conan OBrien episodes onto my I-MAC then convert the video to mpeg4 with the full version of quicktime, then drop that into my itunes library, and watch Conan where ever I want on a 7 inch screen..... too cool, or
I wow my friends with my music video collection from itunes....great !

I have had the Video 55 for about one month and really like it.
I recently used the a/v output to view on a HDTV and the picture is very good, not exactly High Definition but still very good. I consider the V55 an excellent player for the Ipod as an on the go accessorie to view favorite movies,videos,etc.The remote is a good addition for control of some features from a distance,volume,ff,stop and pause.
Another advantage is being able to play movies,etc,from your Ipod without having to deal with multiple dvd's that are required by a standard portable dvd player.I would reccommend this player to anyone that has
thought about purchasing it.

I purchased mine for $89.00 and I'm very happy with it. I would recommend it to a friend. Great picture, good sound. One downfall, it doesn't work with my new 80 gig classic, but I'll just hang on to my old 30 gig and mate it with the Sonic Impact Video 55. Match made in heaven.
