This has an input jack, by the way. Clearly labeled. I am not sure if other reviewers mentioned this, but the whole thing is touch activated. There are no moving parts that I can detect. The thing is also solidly built. It has a tough rubber coating on the outside, and a 1/8 thick plastic barrier on the inside. The screen is glare resistant, and looks good at many angles. The sonic impact also fits the 80 gig ipod. This worried me, because the box said it only fit up to the 60. The little tiny remote fits snugly inside the body, so you really have to work at it to loose it. The sounds is awesome - especially the bass. This is an exceptionally good product for the money. The Sonic Impact Video 55 gets a lot of performance out of a small, sleek package. Pleasant sound, reasonable video (movies and slides) at a scroll and touch from any of thousands of tracks. Current pricing has brought the Video 55 into the realm of real cost effectiveness. My only problem is in consistently achieving just the right touch on the pressure sensitive keys. I wish I had know the company was in Canada. The product, which looked great, came on time, was packaged well, didn't work with our I-pod. Different generation or something so we had to return it. Customer service was easy to contact but it cost $26 dollars to mail it back and custom forms were necessary.
Hopefully the return credit will come through easily for the product, I haven't seen the credit yet. No one wants to return something, and we would have found this product useful and fun but that is too much to pay for a return.

So far this product is horrible. I ordered two and two have gone back for not working. There is sound but no video, one had a clipped wire. Just received the first replacement and guess what, it also doesn't work. I have now had two pay to ship two back, plus the third will go back. This item is not work anything and has cost me a great deal in return shipping along with two very disappointed 10 year olds.
