Digital camera reviews of Sony 75-300mm f/4.5-5.6 Compact Super Telephoto Zoom Lens for Sony Alpha Digital SLR Camera

Digital camera Review: Great telephoto lens
Summary: 5 Stars

I love to shoot pictures of scenery and wild flowers, especially when I make my yearly trek to Colorado. Decided to buy a telephoto lens. Easy to change out with my wide angle lens. I'm still learning, but am very satisfied with this purchase. Recommend this product.

Digital camera Review: Lens

I ordered the lens on Monday and it arrived on Thursday! I was very happy with how prompt the seller responded. The lens is all I expected.

Digital camera Review: Nice Lens!
Summary: 5 Stars

I am new to DSLR's.
The Sony A700 was my first SLR.
This lens did not disappoint.
All pictures I have taken through this lens have been spectacular.
Well worth the cost.

Digital camera Review: SLR, I'm new to this, but!
Summary: 4 Stars

This is my first SLR camera. I'm pleased I choose the Sony A100 Digital SLR Camera. I purchased the Sony 75-300mm f/4.5-5.6 Compace Super Telephoto Zoom Lens for it. I've taken wild life, landscapes, luna, and celestial pictures. I have been amazed are the sharpness of the photos. I would recommend it to a friend.

Digital camera Review: Solid performer
Summary: 3 Stars

This repackaging of the Konica-Minolta 75-300 is a solid performer, at a reasonably good price. If you like to stay with the camera manufacturer's own products, then you'll not be disappointed. Packaging includes the front & rear caps; lens shade & 1 year warranty.

Keeping in mind that the KM lenses came out well before any digital SLRs from that brand, you might want to check out the Tamron 70-300 LD Di zoom. It's a new optic that's "Digitally Integrated", has a 1:2 close-up mode, "Low Dispersion" glass, and a six year warranty.

Additionally, you might look around for one of the Konica-Minolta lenses at a discount.
