Digital camera reviews of Sony BDP-S360 1080p Blu-ray Disc Player

Digital camera Review: Do not buy!
Summary: 1 Stars

I bought this for my sister for x-mas. Did not play most blue ray discs. Called Sony. Sent update disc. Ran update. Did not play any blue rays. Could not read discs. Called Sony. Pay for shipping and Sony will send re -conditioned unit in exchange. Called Amazon. Pay $18 for shipping and they will refund my money. Do not want to deal with this terrible Sony product. Paid to get my money back. All this within one month of ownership. Waiting for refund but bought her Samsung BD for same price. Works beautiful!

Digital camera Review: Do not buy!!
Summary: 1 Stars

I bought this blueray dvd player and the first five minutes of watching a movie on this player we experienced video dropouts. This means that the screen will randomly go blank for a couple of seconds. This happened about four times during a two hour movie. I know for sure it wasnt the player because i tried several other movies just to make sure it wasnt the disk. I got into an online technical support chat with Sony to ask what might be wrong with the player and of course there was a line of about 30 people just to get into an online chat with Sony. So finally after an hour of waiting the lady tells me it needs to be brought in for a repair and that it will be free but i will have to pay for shipping. Knowing that i decided to return the product and buy myself a Panasonic blueray player due to the fact that i have had a Panasonic blueray dvd player in my family room for 2 years that has had no problems ever. I have had a Sony ps2 in the past and my ps2 had disk reading problems just like the disk reading or video dropout problems i had with this blueray player that i bought from Sony. My friend is also experiecing diskreading problems with his Sony ps3 so obviously Sony has diskreading problems which is not ideal for a blueray disk player. So i would stay away from this player and buy yourself a Panasonic.

Digital camera Review: Don't Buy from this company (KtCafaro)
Summary: 1 Stars

KtCafaro sells out dated products at a high price. They will not answer your email questions concerning their products either. Don't buy this DVD player, there is newer model out there you can buy at your local Video Only for $30 less. It is Sony's BDP-S370 1080p Blu-ray Disc Player.

Digital camera Review: Don't buy -- it failed in a short time
Summary: 1 Stars

I received the Sony BDP-S360 player in mid-February and used it for both Blu-ray and regular DVD discs. The picture quality is OK, but disc loading time is glacially slow. Given the relatively low price I paid for the player, I could live with the slowness. What I can't live with is that the player failed by the end of June, four and a half months after I received it. The tray no longer will open and all I get is a message saying "D ERROR." The "D" stands for disc, but also stands for "DON'T BUY."

Digital camera Review: Don't buy this model - it is outdated, too
Summary: 1 Stars

Both the S350 and S360 have been abandoned by SONY.

If you want the nifty Netflix streaming capability, or anything else new, you need to buy the N360 model (at least.)

SONY betrayed purchasers (early adopters) of the "S" models. Don't make my mistake and buy this model.

Their (no upgrades) decision was made by marketing: they *could* upgrade these systems, but choose not to.

Better yet - buy a Samsung, they seem to include all the newer feature in their product lines.
