Digital camera reviews of Sony BDP-S360 1080p Blu-ray Disc Player

Digital camera Review: An excellent Blu-ray player, tough to beat for the price!
Summary: 5 Stars

I've had 2 of these Sony Blu-ray players since "Black Friday" of 2009; one for the living room, one for the master bedroom. They are pretty straightforward to use, and reasonably user-friendly. I've really put mine through the motions with many, many different types of discs, and they play Blus, DVDs, CDs, DVD-Rs, DVD+Rs, and even DTS-encoded 5.1 audio CDs.

I play them nearly every day for at least a couple hours each, and they have stood up to every bit of it. If you have this unit and have any trouble, you should probably check to be sure that your firmware is up to date; both of mine were set up with version 6, when actually, version 7 had just come out at the time of my purchase, so I updated mine the day I took 'em out of the box (and it's not difficult to do, if you're worried about that at all).

These units are pretty rugged, and quite dependable. The only thing I'd change about them is a feature that was on older Sony Blu-ray remotes, but is not on the remote for this unit: open/close. But that's a small price to pay for high-quality A/V, which the Sony BDP-360 delivers in spades!

Digital camera Review: Awesome Blu-ray Player
Summary: 5 Stars

I just bought this player as an upgrade to my older Samsung BD-P1000 and I must say I am extremely pleased with this player. It was very easy to set up and to operate. I have it connected to my Onkyo TX-SR705 with 7.1 speaker set-up which makes use of the lossless sound decoders. Hearing a movie in DTS- HD Master Audio has been a real experience especially on 7.1 soundtracks. My only complaint (which is minor) is that you have to manually operate the tray open and close from the player itself. This is another great Blu-ray player from Sony. I recommend you buy this player.

Digital camera Review: Awesome Blu-ray...
Summary: 5 Stars

I was a bit skeptical about purchasing a Blu-ray...So I did the research and read many reviews. When my wife said the Sony BDP-S360 was on sale at one of our local stores. I checked the price on Amazon.com and found it to be $30 less expensive.. Once we received it and hooked it up with the HDMI cable, we saw a much better picture quality than our old DVD player. I am also glad we can play the old DVD's on this player as well!!! I believe it is a great player and at a great price.

Digital camera Review: Awesome budget player
Summary: 4 Stars

I picked one of these up on sale for $125 and it plays movies perfectly. The picture quality is amazing and the sound is great even on my old two channel stereo.

Only two things keep me from giving it 5 stars. 1) Lack of Netflix streaming support. 2) No front side USB port, the plug is in the back which requires using a usb extension cable to reach.

The Sony Blu-ray player is a good one. I wish I would have bought one that could do NetFlicks online.
I think it would be a good idea for Sony to add this feature in one of their software updates.
