Digital camera reviews of Sony BDP-S360 1080p Blu-ray Disc Player

Digital camera Review: Blu-Ray in... still waiting... and waiting... and waiting
Summary: 3 Stars

I would have to agree with other reviewers. This Blu-Ray player is so very slow with loading movies. You put a movie in and it literally takes minutes for the movie to even show up. It takes a good 30-45 seconds to load the movie at the main screen. Then it takes literally about a minute or longer to start showing the FBI copyright screen. This is my first Blu-Ray as it was on sale at Target. I might upgrade if the horror stories that I have read on here come true on my end.

Digital camera Review: Blu-Ray player
Summary: 4 Stars

Had the blu-ray player for a couple of months now. Installation/hookup was easy, picture quality is outstanding. I have A Sony 48" Bravia TV, both are compatable. I would recommend this blu-ray to anyone who has a Sony TV.

I really like it for the price, i have no problem with it so far?

Digital camera Review: Blue ray + DVD player
Summary: 4 Stars

This is a good product for the money. I conected it to TV by HEMI cable included with the player. The player is very easy to use.

Digital camera Review: Brand new - No Red output on Component
Summary: 2 Stars

We got one of these BDP-S360s for Christmas (2009) and had issues right out of the box. The component output did not have any red output at all and it also had some static as well. Tried using HDMI and it did work, but it was slow, etc..

I've read about these players having quality issues all over, including issues playing Sony's own Blu-Ray disks. I'm sure a firmware update would probably fix it eventually.

I returned it and got a Panasonic DMP-DB60 series (DMP-BD605K). It worked fine out of the box but we updated the firmware anyway. The picture is much clearer on component and HDMI, and it seems to be faster than the Sony.

I would recommend the Panasonic over the Sony any day for both quality and picture.
