I honestly don't think you can beat this system for the price. All the wires are color coded, which made it so easy to set up I didn't even need the instruction manual (and I'm not exactly savvy when it comes to this stuff). So far the sound is terrific when watching TV, playing video games or using the iPod dock. I don't use the DVD player so I can't comment on that, but the fact that you connect it directly to your televisions output makes it easily compatible with all your devices. Its sweeet! I purchased this home theater syastem for $279.99 the day after Thanksgiving in 2009. The system arrived in a timely manner and in great working order. Putting the system together and hooking it up was fairly easy, considering I have never connected a home theater system in my life. The sound is amazing and the fact that the rear speaker system connects wirelessly to the receiver means no cords across the room, awesome! The one drawback is that there is no adjustments available for the subwoofer (that I have found). Adjustments for this would be helpful, since there is too much bass at times. We just purchased a Samsung flat screen TV and noticed after installing it that it has very weak audio. We had already spent more than a $1,000 on the TV so we didn't want to overspend to obtain quality sounds; therefore, we decided to search Amazon for some options. Pleasantly surprised by how well the wireless speakers work. System was a breeze to set up. I wish it had more inputs, but for the price it's great value.

I bought these speakers for a great price and they were unbelievably easy to setup. I saw in someone elses review that the sub woofer was too bassy......not at all. I love the sound form this thing. The wireless rear speakers pretty much set themselves up. I highly recommend this product if you can get it for under $450.
