Digital camera Review: Great Living Room TV
Summary: 5 Stars
I wanted a TV that would not only show great pictures but look good. [Initially I looked at the toshiba rf350u series b.c the 46inch TV would fit in my cabinet. But the Cnet reviews on it were terrible, and I was able to see the green tint on everything that cnet was talking about.]
However back to this sony tv, the other models in this series v3000 and s3000 probably show the same quality pictures. But for the living room I wanted something that looked like a first class product. This sony looks good and it does not have the glossy black panel that reflects things.
The other pro's to this TV are:
-great remote
-picture by picture
-3hdmi inputs
-auto backlight
-great colors
-can customize in multiple ways
Disadvantages to this TV:
-For standard definiton to look good you will need to sit at a distance.
-Expensive. The sales on the 3000 series are usually not for the W3000 but for the cheaper models. But if you wait and read the ads carefully you can get great deals. hh gregg had a great deal on superbowl weekend that was even better than internet deals and I grabbed it. It was too big a purchase to try internet deals anyway. No regrets.

I have been reluctant to convert to an HDTV due to the usual considerations--waiting for better technology at a lower price each year. Since it seemed like the HDTV market had reached something of a plateau, it was time to trade in my near-perfect circa 2000 Sony Trinitron 32" for the latest 40" Bravia. No disappointment, in fact, I can't take my eyes off the new KDL-40W3000. Excellent contrast, bright sharp picture, easy to use controls. "it's a Sony". Solid, high quality electonics. As I expected, the SD picture for non-HDTV stations is a disappointment (compared to my old Trinitron), but I can overlook that.
I had paid for an expedited delivery to match the timing of my satellite HD installation, but instead was told that the supplier (Vann's) couldn't expedite a large electronic item like a TV. The delivery took 5 days, and I missed the installer, but the good folks at Vann's gave me a refund of the extra payment.
I recommend this unit to all serious HDTV aficionados in the 40" market.

I received my television within 5 business days of ordering and within the delivery appointment arranged with Eagle Shipping. They brought the TV up to my 2nd floor apartment removed it from its packaging and allowed me to make sure the TV was working properly. It was.
The TV looks great when playing PS3 games at either 720p or 1080p. I've yet to subscribe to an HDTV service, but the TV is more than adequate for viewing SDTV. I typically do not zoom/stretch the SDTV signal. there are a number of zoom options that necessarily distort an SDTV signal, but not too badly.
The most impressive results from this TV yet were when I play a BlueRay DVD concert. The sound (without any other sound system) and picture were amazing. This is a great TV and a great bargain at the Amazon price.
Digital camera Review: Great picture unless you are a basketball fan

All of the reviews which praise the picture on the model are right. While the refresh rate (60hz) does cause blurring on fast motion, the only time I notice it is on basketball games. If you are a basketball fanatic, then you will probably want a 120hz model. Otherwise, this one is just fine.Digital camera Review: Great purchase, imazing picture!
