PROS :
15 x zoom
carl zeiss lens
3" lcd
manual mode with nice tweaks
night shot mode
very good picture organizing (add/delete folder etc) options in the camera
comfortable enough to operate with one hand
the dial makes mode selection easy
Easy to take out/ fit in battery/memory card
CONS:
no uncompressed format option (neither is there an option to control the compression.. but that didnt seem important for me.. might be a drawback if you are a serious photographer)
no option for panoramic picture
cant take pictures while simultaneously recording video
consumes too much energy.. keeps running out of battery charge !!!!
The hood didnt prove to be of much use to me.
The dial is useful only for a few things like mode selection and navigating through folders.
I would suggest you also take a look also at Canon S5 IS. Both H9 and S5 IS are equally good. Minor differences here and there. But Canon S5 IS is about 50 USD cheaper ;) .
