Digital camera Review: Skimpy internal storage

The internal storage of the Sony Cybershot DSCW120 is ridiculously small, and a "memory stick" must be purchased for an additional $30+ to provide a reasonable photographic capability. Though the internal storage is 15Mbytes, this translates into only 5 (five) actual images at the default resolution. Perhaps this information is buried someplace in their product manuals. It required a phone call to Sony for me to determine it. Even my old Olympus point and shoot holds 96 images at its default resolution
I see no reason the fact that the camera's internal memory can only hold five images. It is even more "curious" that this fact is not clearly stated in Sony's product documentation. Could this be just a marketing scheme to sell a memory stick "accessory""?

This camera shoots an awesome picture and it's small, stylish and lightweight. It seems to be made very well and I have no complaints about it whatsoever. We have used this camera for about six months now and I don't think it has ever taken a bad picture. It will take a great picture and it will also record video with sound. It has all the bells and whistles like red eye reduction, still shot and special effects. I think it's well worth the money.

Thus far the CyberShot has been a great purchase. We bought it for our daughter for Christmas, and we love it's ease of use right out of the box, the various functions it offers, and the high quality photos and videos. We were disappointed with the lack of a memory storage card (had to buy one separately after the fact), and you also have to beware of shutter lag with point and shoot digital cameras, such as this CyberShot. Other than that, as mentioned, a great purchase.Digital camera Review: Sony Cyber Shot 4X is great! 2nd time I've reviewed this product.
